Did Obama Watch While They Fought for their Lives?

who cares? Ben Ghazzi is old news. State is beefing up security.

move along

Yup. Old news.

One has to wonder how old it would be if one of YOUR relatives had died in that consulate?

One has to wonder how old it would be If one of YOUR relatives died waiting for help that wasn't coming?

One has to wonder how old it would be if one of YOUR relatives died wondering why State refused additional security??

One has to wonder how old it would be if YOU were wondering why no one was held accountable for the death of YOUR relative?

One has to wonder if you'd be buying the bs coming out of the administration? I doubt it. I think you'd be shifting through the bullshit and the cover your ass mentality just like loads of other are.

Oh yeah. Kinda think you'd be singing one hell of a different tune.

I'd like to know who is ultimately responsible for the multiple "stand down" orders.

Pentagon releases official timeline of Benghazi attack - CNN.com

Anyone paying attention to reality already knows, there was NO ORDER TO STAND DOWN given and NO DENIAL OF ASSISTANCE during the attack.

[A] senior official also sought to rebut reports that C.I.A. requests for support from the Pentagon that night had gone unheeded.

In fact, the official said, the military diverted a Predator drone from a reconnaissance mission in Darnah, 90 miles away, in time to oversee the mission’s evacuation. The two commandos, based at the embassy in Tripoli, joined the reinforcements. And a military transport plane flew the wounded Americans and Mr. Stevens’s body out of Libya.

The new reports also contain previously unreported details about the CIA’s role in Benghazi. President Obama and Secretary of Defense Panetta did order U.S. forces into the region, but the CIA was the first to respond to the attack, arriving on the scene in under half an hour.

New Information CONFIRMS The Right Wing LIED About The Benghazi Attack

You have absolutely no fucking idea what you're talking about. But we already know that you get your lying talking points from the obama admin, so it makes sense that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Benghazi Suspect RELEASED From Custody

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

A Tunisian judge has released one of the very few people in custody in connection with the Libya terror attack. This has underscored concerns in Washington about the alleged lack of progress in the investigation nearly four months after the attack.

While a Senate committee and State Department-sponsored panel have both issued reports in recent weeks about the Sept. 11 attack that killed four Americans, those reports said little about the criminal investigation itself. They examined the motivations and conditions that led to the attack, but not who was specifically behind it. Further, Capitol Hill lawmakers are still in a holding pattern as they wait to hear testimony from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is recovering from a blood clot and has pledged to testify.

The criminal investigation itself falls to the FBI, and the decision in Tunisia appeared to be a blow to the case.

Lawmaker warns 'window for justice' closing in Libya attack probe | Fox News

And yet the idiot president goes on tv and insists he's looking out for our best interests, foreign policy-wise. By all means, let's turn all the terrorists loose.........but they all would have to live in the liberal's back yards, seeing as how they are so sympathetic and forgiving and all.

So..................you only give Google pages and expect me to sift through it?

Where is the actual link to somewhere that is credible, that supports what you're saying?

BTW........................one of the top links is back to this thread. Is USMB really that credible for facts?

I get all my news from USMB.
That's why I'm so well-informed...if you ever wondered.

Did Obama Watch While They Fought for their Lives?

By Karin McQuillan
10/26/12

They fought for their lives for seven hours. 9/11/ 2012. Benghazi. The White House watched. No help was sent and they died.

Four Americans died in the jihadi attack on our consulate in Benghazi. Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, two retired SEALS who were working as civilian security specialists in Benghazi, learned that Ambassador Stevens and nine other people at the consulate were under attack and rushed to their defense. The fourth man was Sean Smith, father of three, an Air Force veteran, working for the State Department in Libya.

The White House, the Pentagon, the State Department, and our military monitored the battle in real time starting with the first phone calls directly from Benghazi.

A small military force from Tripoli was dispatched and was able to rescue some personnel hiding in other buildings. Ambassador Stevens remained missing, as did these three men. The fire-fight raged on.

Obviously you didn't see my thread about required reading for Benghazi conspirators.
GlobalSecurity.org - Reliable Security Information
I read that...a white wash of maybe 20% of the key questions. Obabble is still hiding behind the FBI investigation...and no one has heard what the DOD has in their file.

Congratulations you have made up your mind and nothing is going to change it.

If you care to answer the question do you think air support should have been sent in?

Air support wouldn't do much good in a situation like this. If you don't have laser guided bombs (as well as someone on the ground to paint the target) you run the risk of either (a) missing the target and taking out innocent civilians, or (b) you hit the target, but the bomb ends up killing not only the bad guys, but also the people you want to save.

The only way that those people could have been rescued is with helicopters and strike teams, which incidentally, take a bit of time to mobilize.

Yo...............Gay Pinhead...............got a link to back this up?

If it's farther up the thread, please link or tell what the post number is that has the link.

Otherwise..................try shutting the fuck up. Where did they disobey the orders received?

Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was part of a small team who was at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and his team came under attack. When he and others heard the shots fired, they informed their higher-ups at the annex to tell them what they were hearing and requested permission to go to the consulate and help out. They were told to "stand down," according to sources familiar with the exchange. Soon after, they were again told to "stand down."
Woods and at least two others ignored those orders and made their way to the consulate which at that point was on fire. Shots were exchanged. The rescue team from the CIA annex evacuated those who remained at the consulate and Sean Smith, who had been killed in the initial attack. They could not find the ambassador and returned to the CIA annex at about midnight.

At that point, they called again for military support and help because they were taking fire at the CIA safe house, or annex. The request was denied. There were no communications problems at the annex, according those present at the compound. The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights.

Main Suspect in Benghazi Attack Survives Car Bombing

January 9, 2013
By Daniel Greenfield

While it would be nice to think that someone with half a brain in the CIA just decided to slip ten grand to a Benghazi militia to try and get the job done, this is more likely about rebels factions trying to avenge the murder of Major General Abdelfattah Younis. Which just means that locals stand a better chance of taking revenge for a murder, than the US under Obama does of bringing them to justice.

I 'splained it to you once sailor, but we Air Force types know that a target can be 'painted' by my airborne wingman. One near miss would have had these assholes running for their lives. Two F-16's from Sigonella would have stopped this massacre.
