Are you old enough to be on this board? The answer is, the last Clinton administration. Here's looking to the next.I'm curious if anyone still remembers an America where there were jobs. I honestly don't remember which is kind of sad.

I guess that's why we have to import math and engineering Muslims to help Apple...There will never be an increase in the job market. Companies send those jobs overseas because they can actually have the labor done for no pay. Why would they bring them over here. The only way is for them to offer minimum wage and nobody here wants minimum wage jobs. Those jobs are for kids only. We cannot expect any adult to fill them.
I remember back when most households only had the single income of a husband. Back when my mom and moms of all my friends stayed home. Summers were great, us kids were able to get outside and play on our own unsupervised. We quickly learned the consequences of getting into trouble and while it didn't make us angels we learned of self-limits.
We...there's one thing I noticed. George Bush assumed an unemployment rate of 4.3% and left one of the worst recessions since the great depression. Unemployment at 7.0% and bleeding 750,000 jobs a month. The US economy added almost 300,000 jobs in December and the unemployment rate is at 5%.
What bizarre world do conservatives live in that they only see misery at every turn?
You booblet, Christmas always brings more jobs. Let us see how January is doing, see what is going on with the stock market, etc. Many are predicting another downturn this year, but unlike others, I won't say, "see I told you so' until statistics prove it is happening.

Look at what Bush left:

And what exactly has that to do with anything? Lets talk about Hoover or Jimmy Carter.
Why

Seriously Cambell, why is it you people won't address the government graph, or the other question put forth?
I mean, come on here, I can talk about Hoover, Carter, LBJ, Reagan, etc. We are talking about full employment, what employment actually is today, and the fact that we are no where near full employment.
I understand, you being a lefty and all, wanting to talk about GW. So make a thread! You won't find me there defending him on his spending, no sir.
My only point is...........your whole theory of the low participation rate is phony, proven by Obamas own graph that I posted. Also, we keep wondering why Hillary isn't running on Obama's economic record if it is so good, offering us more of the same economically.
If you can't, won't, or refuse to answer these questions, then we have nothing to talk about and quote the OP author instead of me. He may be a softer touch than I am when pointing out your lefty propaganda, but I seriously doubt it since you people are easy, and your beloved governments own statistics prove it.

There you go again, lol. Same crap sandwich. Won't answer anything and keeps trying to redirect the conversation.
Ok, I give up. If you don't want to answer, run along and continue kumbaying with your lefty friends. If the bunch of you pretend hard enough, you will believe you are in socialist Shang-ri-la too!
Ask a lib any question, and they instantly start talking about GW, lol.
And, of course, we have the little matter of the boomers retiring.
Really?
* Only 60 percent of baby boomers report having any retirement savings
* 36 percent said they plan to retire at 70 or later
* 27 percent are confident they will have enough for retirement
I do. I remember it well.I'm curious if anyone still remembers an America where there were jobs....
I honestly don't remember which is kind of sad.

Back in the '50s, both sides of Manhattan's 42nd Street between 6th and 7th Avenues were lined with employment agencies, six or eight of them in some buildings . Downtown the same situation was seen on Chambers and Nassau Streets. The Employment Classifed ads occupied a separate section of the New York Times -- at least twenty pages long (now it's rarely more than one full page). The Bush Terminal plaza in Brooklyn occupied a full city block square with nothing but two-story factories, side by side. This massive complex, which is an empty ghost-town now, had it's own employment center and jobs were available for day-workers or full-time employees.
Jobs were plentiful back then -- and life was good. The Middle Class was flourishing and it was the result of FDR's and Eisenhower's socialist policies, most of which have been altered, repealed or "deregulated."
Dumbshit.Oh, yes. I can still remember 1959 as if it were yesterday.
I was fully employed building tree forts, skipping rocks in ponds and collecting all manner of bugs.
