And understand, all this was done for the HRC campaign, directed by Fusion GPS handed over to Sussmann who gave it to the FBI (and the CIA afer the FBI told him to flake off) misrepresenting his relationship as the lawyer for the DNC, HRC, Fusion GPS and Joffe.

That's actually an unknown. We know they were paid for a government contract. Exactly what that was is not spelled out. From the wording, I assume the contract was to provide DNS services to the EOP. That could involve managing government servers on the government network - and taking data from those would most certainly be criminal. It could also mean that they operated their own servers on the government network - still a crime to take the government data without permission.

Lastly, and most likely, they operated DNS servers in their own network or, more likely, on AWS, and simply provided a service to the government. In that case, the legality of it might actually come down to the contract. The contract likely did specify who is the owner of the data. If it didn't specify, then the company likely gets off scott free, even though clearly an evil act, not illegal. If the contract did specify that the provider can keep and use the log data then there's no crime, even though there's plenty of slime. If the contract specified that the government owns the logs then, once again, they are criminals.

In any and every case, this shows that Trump was spied on and that they lied when they said they didn't. But, as much as I wish otherwise, there might actually not be a crime. There could be, but it's just not yet clear.
