EU May Declare Lithium a Hazard to Humans

It isn't severely damaging the planet at all heck NASA doesn't agree with your stupid claim as they state:

Carbon Dioxide Fertilization Greening Earth, Study Finds

Excerpt:

From a quarter to half of Earth’s vegetated lands has shown significant greening over the last 35 years largely due to rising levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, according to a new study published in the journal Nature Climate Change on April 25.

An international team of 32 authors from 24 institutions in eight countries led the effort, which involved using satellite data from NASA’s Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer instruments to help determine the leaf area index, or amount of leaf cover, over the planet’s vegetated regions. The greening represents an increase in leaves on plants and trees equivalent in area to two times the continental United States.

Don't make sweeping positive claims you don't understand.
2.6 million years ago, geologic uplift forced the closure of Arctic Ocean gateways, like the Bering Strait, and thermally isolated the region. That restricted the Arctic’s circulation, causing a build-up of fresh water and conditions favorable for major ice sheets to form. From that point, there was runaway cooling as ice sheets grew as far south as present-day St. Louis and New York City.

I love how you get your science from "Slate.com".

Hilarious.

"Petroleum engineer". LOL.

So you don’t believe that 2.6 million years ago, geologic uplift forced the closure of Arctic Ocean gateways, like the Bering Strait, and thermally isolated the region. That restricted the Arctic’s circulation, causing a build-up of fresh water and conditions favorable for major ice sheets to form.

LOL!

Says the man who thinks that the Arctic is "land locked" (Oh that was HILARIOUS when you said that!!!)

Ah ahahahahahaha!

"Landlocked"!!

No one can make this stuff up...

What a hoot!
Thermal isolation of the polar regions is a key condition for glaciation.

The sudden, widespread glaciation of Antarctica and the associ- ated shift towards colder temperatures at the Eocene/Oligocene boundary (,34 million years ago) (refs 1–4) is one of the most fundamental reorganizations of global climate known in the geologic record. The glaciation of Antarctica has hitherto been thought to result from the tectonic opening of Southern Ocean gateways, which enabled the formation of the Antarctic Circum- polar Current and the subsequent thermal isolation of the Antarctic continent5.

Land parked over a pole produces the greatest thermal isolation.

An ocean parked over a pole which has its circulation restricted by surrounding lands is more thermally isolated than a pole surrounded by open waters.

I'm in the middle of reading the ACTUAL SCIENCE article. (I actually know people involved in the IODP mentioned in the article.)

It actually looks like there's a significant role of the closure of the "Central American Seaway" (essentially what is now Panama) as well which actually helped push poleward atmospheric moisture transport. (in other words NOT just the occasionally isolation of the Arctic), and in fact the sea ice that formed was later transported OUT of the Arctic by the East Greenland current (again, not quite isolated Arctic).

I'm not arguing that the Arctic isn't important for climate or that there has always been an ice cap (as shown earlier there may have been other times in earth's history where there was polar ice).

The point, though, YouTube Skolar, is that that doesn't really matter to AGW. NONE of that changes ANYTHING in regards to the science behind the last 150 years worth of warming.

It's almost as if you read that Ebola was deadly so now you assume anytime you hear about someone on the news dying it MUST HAVE BEEN EBOLA.

In fact throughout earth’s history there has never been glaciation of a polar region that was in open waters.

The only known instance of glaciation occurring with an ocean parked over a pole happened 2.6 million years ago when the Arctic Ocean became thermally isolated due to the land masses surrounding it and the geologic uplift which forced the closure of Arctic Ocean gateways, like the Bering Strait.
