Saddam used Sarin twice - that we know. The first time was against IRAN in the IRAN IRAQ war on the 1980s. The Iranians were using the "human wave" to cross a river/valley into Iraq. Saddam had air superiority and his enemy pinned low - the two necessary requirements to use it. The second time was against a Kurdish villiage in a valley. Sarin is not a good weapon - big bulky, expensive, dangerous etc. It sinks in air. If you get hit on our way to using it, it goes off on you and into your water supply.
