F-ing B of A

I do not bank with BOA, but I do have a credit card with them, and have never had a problem at all.
Me neither...Now when I had a business checking account we had problems, the deposits were being delayed so there was more of a likelihood a check would bounce, there was a class action lawsuit in 1999...

turns out it was legit.

I call the number on the letter, they answer the phone.
if I call the general number , they give me a different number and couldn't verify if the number on the letter was legit, and when they transferred me to the department, it said the department was closed.

can you believe that sht?

B of A is too large, no one knows what the hell is going on over there

It's not so much that "no one knows".
More that nobody at B of A gives a shit.

I get a letter from "Bank of America" saying I need to claim unclaimed property.

I called the number and they said "can I have your social security number?"

I said "no"

I called back customer service and the fraud department and no one can verify the phone number or even the address of the "unclaimed property department"

The only reason why I have a B of A credit card is because they gave me 100 bucks in points.

From what I see on the internet it looks like the number is legit, but I just want to take a moment to congratulate Bank of America of their time honored tradition of being a complete , worthless, piece of sht bank.

Dear Wolfstrike
From looking this up online, there are SOME REAL letters where some money could be yours such as from a closed or transferred bank account. SOME are fake scams. So you cannot tell the difference just by what you described.

Can you scan the letter and email it to the abuse/phishing email for Bank of America?
Someone in that dept should be able to verify if it really came from them or not.

You are smart to verify first.
You can try taking the letter to a local BOA and asking them to verify for you.
They should make a photocopy where you keep the original.

I suggest you scan it and email it around as a pdf until you receive confirmation.
Maybe a specialist at a BOA location can look up your records
and find if you have an outstanding amount left over that needs
to be cashed or credited to you or else it's just sitting there.

Yours truly,
Emily

I got a B of A BankAmericard back in the early 1970's but when they turned down my loan application for a car I went to another local bank and got the loan there instead.

I have never been a B of A customer ever since.

It is?? Weird.

I doubt it was BOA. A LOT of this is going on. I black list them on my cell, and do not have a landline.

I thought he got a letter from BOA.. but why would he get a letter from BOA...

1. Are scammers now sending letter for unclaimed funds?

2. This is why I don't have a credit card with any bank. It's not worth it. Never met a rich person yet that said "It was my Bank of America points that did it!". Warren Buffet said, get out of debt, stay out of debt, and never buy anything on credit.

1. Scammers are scum and will do anything to scam anybody.
2. I carry American Express Platinum and Citi credit card only otherwise I will be carrying a lots of cash but I pay them right away as soon as the bill arrived. Both of them has a protection plan free that comes with the account. Anything that is over $200 or the history of your account I will receive a text just like below. It happened that this was a real citi card CC theft. This person went crazy all over Yuba city north Sacramento and spent approximately $800 at the same time I'm using it here in Southern California. They removed the $800 then issued me a new card.

What Warren Buffet was talking about are the long term accounts like home loan or credit cards that keep accumulating and paying only the minimum.
Home loan of 30 years compared to 15 years will save you thousands or millions of $.

skank of america? i have a full legal packet filed ....they managed to put my payments in 'suspense' and could not explain that the hel that was....kept saying it would be correct at midnight...well midnight never came...i end up calling charlotte ...by that time they showed my mortgage 90 days late when i had made payments and had receipts...they were not accruing them to my account..the bankers could not figure out the final payment...they seemed unaware that i could walk in and demand a full accounting and demand the exact amount to pay it off...they wanted me to pay the pay off without the 3 payments...and thought i was unreasonable when i refused....i end up paying off my mortgage and getting a pile of legal documents stating i was never in arrears in my mortgage and it was totally a banking mistake...i told them at the time if it showed up on a credit report i would be suing the hell outta them..they paid attention then

I heard that same story ------- The sad part is ------- they don't own the mistakes or apologize. ------ I didn't do it the other employee did it---------- I was just following our protocol.

I just let voice mail pick up all my calls. I am a call screener! If I don't know you or have business with you, then I'm not answering the phone. I don't open my door if it's someone I don't recognize either. Fuck em. :D

Right, if I don't know it, I don't answer. Then I will look the number up and usually it says it is a scam (not always). Then I blacklist.

Yep...I've already searched the number before it stops ringing and know it's bullshit.

Pfffft...a platinum card?
I have a Black Card myself.

LOL I hate American Express. I used to have 2 of them. One you pay off each month, and then the other the type. One I owed nothing I closed and shredded them.
What I hated was mostly their customer service.
Have to say I pretty much hate all customer service though. :dunno:

About 90% I use my iPhone 7+ every time I'm here because of mobility, multi tasking and activities. I can just pause go stop etc.
What's funny Kat -------- Seriously.
#1. I got lots of phone calls I mean lots almost every time I'm here. Compared to when I'm not. I'm not saying that this has anything to do with USMB but it's very strange.
#2. Because of business I have a very large cell phone account with AT&T which includes field technician employees and field sales. We use FF ( find friends) of AT&T to keep track of our field technicians employees making sure they arrive on time or still working in the hospital even when they are not. I rarely track my employees but their managers does --------- but my cellphone was tracking me ------- it's telling me where I am. Very strange. That is when I'm here in USMB. When I get off the system locks the location where I stop even after one day.
I showed it to our AT&T special account manager that handle our cellphone system --------- He turned off the GPS in 2 locations in my setting. It solved the problem. He believed what was happening but he doesn't believe USMB has the capabilities of hacking iPhone remotely. He reset my iPhone then download iCloud, took couple of hours to complete, removed USMB icon from my cellphone, didn't log in to USMB for a day ---------- But I used Google -------- problem ----- is BACK. So I turned off my GPS completely.
Anyway I just want to share this with you. I will live.

True customer service of AE sucks but actually they have improved in last 5 years I think. They do give very nice rewards.

It just happens when using your phone and logging in here? And I wouldn't put anything past google. Yahoo is a LOT worse too.
