Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert has pleaded guilty in a hush-money case, in a deal with prosecutors that calls for him to serve up to six months in prison.

Hastert pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI.

The plea marks the fall from grace of a politician who rose from obscurity in rural Illinois to become second in the line of succession to the presidency.

An indictment issued in May says the 73-year-old Republican agreed to pay someone referred to only as "Individual A" $3.5 million to hide past misconduct by Hastert.

The Associated Press and other media have cited anonymous sources in reporting the payments were to conceal claims of sexual misconduct.

Dennis Hastert Pleads Guilty In Hush-Money Case

Wow, SIX months in prison.

Politicians are crooked...go figure.

'SO WHAT' CASE 1:
Politicians Guilty of 'Insider Trading', Quietly hanges the Law
- LINK: How Congress Quietly Overhauled Its Insider-Trading Law

Politicians in BOTH parties were caught breaking the Law, engaging in 'insider Trading'. Anyone else would have been charged with a crime and gone to jail. The politicians, however, and unbelievably, declared they did not know the laws they pass actually APPLIED TO THEM, declared FROM THAT MOMENT ON they would ensure THAT law applied to them and they would adhere to it, and quickly passed the STOCK ACT which was signed by President Obama (which was UN-Needed and was ONLYT FOR SHOW (for the 'rubes') because we already have a law making it illegal for them to engage in Insider Trading). When the 'heat' and attention quieted down Congress quietly passed legislation exempting themselves from such future scrutiny.

"But on Monday, when the president signed a bill reversing big pieces of the law, the emailed announcement was one sentence long. There was no fanfare last week either, when the Senate and then the House passed the bill in largely empty chambers using a fast-track procedure known as unanimous consent."
- The legislation simply made it almost IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to get any financial information of federal politicians (Congress) now, effectively HIDING all of their still on-going Insider Trading and illegal financial activity. The only way to get that information now is to go to the BASEMENT OFFICE of the Cannon House Office Building and personally request that information through a tedious process. THAT'S THE ONLY WAY NOW. Oh, and NONE of the politicians caught ILLEGALLY engaging in Insider Trading were ever held accountable / charge with a crime because 'they didn't know all the US laws apply to them'.

'SO WHAT' CASE 2:
- Holder Perjury, 1sy Atty General To Be Censured
Eric Holder was caught 3 times for Felony Perjury in testimony before Congress, and the DOJ and Obama administration REFUSED to appropriately press charges and hold Holder Accountable. (A completely UNANIMOUS BI-PARTISAN Congress still voted to Censure Holder for his crimes, making the ONLY US Atty General to EVER be Censured in US history ... even though they all agree he should have gone to jail.

...and you bring up the story of Dennis Hassert being found guilt of a crime....WHY?! Because you are tryint go impress us with the fact that Republicans do bad things, as if the Democrats have any moral high ground to stand on? To prove POLITICIANS break the law? If THAT'S your point / intent, to that I say 'DUH!' Otherwise this was a waste of time / board-space...

How the hell does a child molester make it all the way to being second in line to the Presidency?

How the hell does a child molester make it all the way to being second in line to the Presidency?

YOU have GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!!!!!!

Nope, not kidding. How did it happen?

Biden is not a child molester. Nice try. Not.

Proving once again, you have your head up your ass, and can't ADMIT it, even when "THE YOUNG TURKS", a radical leftist group agrees with me.... You should learn to STFU when you are bitch slapped lightly, next one gets harder!

What did he do?...Besides pay someone $3.5 million, and FAIL to report the CASH transaction?

Hillary Clinton's husband took a million dollars from the wife of one of America's 10 most wanted fugitives in exchange for a pardon. The Obama "justice" department declined to pursue an indictment against the chief of the IRS who had clearly used a government agency to target only conservative groups and they want to lock up 73 year old Denny Hastert? You gotta be kidding.

Was Hastert convicted, or even brought to trial about that?...Or was it the same as the Hildebeast, kill 4 men, but NOT brought to trial?
