Garland, "I am not the president's lawyer"

And yet the others didn't feel the need to. Only one trigger happy idiot.

Drop, zip tie, shove off to side. Riot police have been doing that for decades now.

No, you aren't.
The other officers weren’t in the same position and your standard is incorrect.

They weren’t riot police in that hallway. They were the protection duty for members of Congress. If it had been secret service in that hallway protecting Trump next door, they absolutely would have fired as well.

I’m not sure what your point is here. It’s hardly surprising that they would try to aid the woman and not try to attack the officers who just shot her. Unless they wanted to get shot too.

Are you under the impression the window was going to magically seal itself shut once she jumped through it? There’s nothing stopping the rest of the mob from coming through. Within minutes, dozens could have streamed into that hallway.

Marty, you need to stop with the magical thinking. We need to use a reasonable person evaluation here and you’re not being reasonable.
Your more concerned about the building. There was a time I would think these things sacrosanct. The years go by, and you see a percentage of people elected and not elected make a mockery of what it is supposed to represent. Democracy is now a dictatorship as we see with the Progs in power. This with a rough balance of legislators and the Presidency. Lies every day. Deny deny deny. How many are on the take I do not know. What they have done to the nation is proof something is going on.

The last members of Congress were being evacuated from the House Chamber as Babbitt was shot. Why would a law enforcement officer shoot someone who simply wanted to enter an empty room...not to commit violence but to stop a proceeding?
The room wasn’t empty.

Nope.

Were you ever a firefighter, or a climate scientist, or anything else that you can use as excuse to remove someone's right to an opinion?

I can have whatever opinion I want, you can decide to accept or not, but you can't cancel it.
I have officially fought fires, yes. My wife needed an abortion in the fifth month. I have been in combat. I have experience that you don't, so, yes, I can tell your opinions, based on my experiences, are worthless.

Their argument is the she was MAGA and she deserved to die. Not sure why you are bothering trying to reason with such abject nonsense.

If it was Secret Service protecting Trump they would have had Trump out of the area in a matter of seconds. When's the last time you saw a Secret Service agent fire his weapon protecting a President? They'd only do that as a last resort. They sure as hell wouldn't start shooting unarmed protesters. The only idiot doing that was Lt. Byrd.

That cop felt he was among the last line of defense between members of Congress and the mob chanting "hang Pence" and "where are you Nancy?" The fault for the shooting fails on the poor deluded fool who was shot.
Gee, Berg...I've listened to audio of the group that Babbitt was in...NEVER did I hear any of those things from them. So obviously if Byrd was hearing what you're claiming he heard...it was voices in his head.

That's a silly, confused, mindless analogy.........even for you.

Only because your blanket statements are easy to parry with other similar situations.

It's because you start at the conclusion" fuck the bitch she deserved to die" and then run around like a lemming to bring up "points" that reward your already reached conclusion.

I said Armed tactical officers, same shit different day.

That's your viewpoint, and in any event I don't believe anything posters like you say. You are just as likely to be some 24 year old idiot in a basement somewhere.

I didn't say it was. I said that they were escorting the last people out of the Chamber. It would have been empty in a matter of minutes. So why did Byrd feel the need to shoot an unarmed female protester? Even if the crowd breaches that door there is another door that is guarded by numerous LE officers all armed with weapons. How exactly is it that unarmed protesters are going to be a threat in that scenario?

Their argument is the she was MAGA and she deserved to die. Not sure why you are bothering trying to reason with such abject nonsense.

Because the whole point of a board like this is to argue, and if all you got to argue against are vapid SJW morons, then you take what you can get.

Was he part of the J6 goon squad who beat up 130 cops?

While I believe the Jan 6 demonstrators were wrong about the election in general, what they did and wanted was just to be heard.
That is not illegal, and by stopping them, with clubs, pepper spray, etc., the cops were the bad guys.
Most of the demonstrators had nothing, and were beaten bloody by the police.
The only police who were injured were where they fell down the stairs themselves, or the other police pinned one of their own in a door they were trying to close.

Those are my experiential viewpoints countering your mere opinions.

The suspect was responsible for her actions.

We are arguing against silly MAGA nonsense.

So opinions vs. opinions, got it.

The Cop was responsible for his, and he didn't follow his Deadly Force Use Regulations.

Does any Trump supporter really believe Trump would not have fired his AG if charges were filed against Donnie J by the DoJ?

Completely different because Donnie J did not blatantly violate laws like Hunter did.
Hunter is not just notorious for partying with drugs, hookers, and illegal guns.
Clearly he was the bagman for illegal billions going back and forth between DC and Kyiv.
Which not only has already resulted in the murder of half a million innocents, but could easily lead to the entire US being destroyed by a deserved nuclear attack.

We clearly are trying to illegally put first strike nukes on Russia's border, and they are NEVER going to allow that, no matter what it takes.
