General Question for everyone!

The controversies are usually about right vs wrong, good vs bad. The one proposing "bad" would be happy to meet in the middle as the compromise would still be 'half bad'. However, I don't think the one proposing the correct solution is going compromise. If they do "bad" will eventually win out.

For example.
Put an alcoholic and a non-drinker on an island with an unlimited supply of booze, and you'll soon have two alcoholics.
Humans always have good and bad in them so trying to stop that is impossible.

You example of putting two people on an island..............is ridiculous given that it is only 2 people and there aren't any rules (regulations that include punishment) that will prevent them from both becoming alcoholics.

The bottom line is that when morals, ethics, principles and humanity exist in a community where the rules and guidelines are based on them, as well as the leaders having them, you will have a livable scenario for all.

People aren't so morally weak that they are unable to do the right thing. They either just don't want to or are too lazy to. The cynic likes to say, "Virtue is it's only reward."

True but then again, one or the other (weakness or strength, hate and love) can be stimulated by those that are your leaders and that you believe in.

What does that example mean when it comes to morals, ethics, principles or humanity. Are you trying to say that gay people have none of those?????

Nope, thats not what Im saying. Everyone has some version that they think is correct but without a standard of perfection, morals, ethics and principles, change over time.
