SO much confusion on this thread, mainly because nearly everyone is going by the ‘left vs right’ false dichotomy.

G Edward Griffin has some good talks on this topic, he talks about how there is a lot confusion when it comes to definitions, because people are looking at the entire thing in the wrong way. It ultimately comes down to collectivism versus individualism. And fascism is a collectivist philosophy.

Conservatives (at least true conservatives) believe in individualism.

So who else changed their definition of Fascism? My books on Ideologies still lists Fascism as rigaht wing. I wonder how many universities changed their lesson plans to fit Google? Maybe it was just Google that changed their definition of fascism, but not the world?

Google doesn't define anything.

Google is a search engine. All they do is give you search results.

The definition of fascist has not been changed by everyone here in the sane world.

Those in the republican or far right radical extremist world have redefined the word fascist. They redefine a lot of words that apply to them that they don't like.

Those people say fascism is liberal and socialism.

The rest of us know it's right wing which merges business with the government.

So why, oh why, is Google's definition so much different than this?

This is the definition I grew up learning. Seems as though the liberals have decided to start twisting definitions now to suit their needs. Can't blame younger folks for not getting this. The altered definition is all they have been taught. Total indoctrination.
