I would not say that. I think if youngsters were educated about how it works it would be different. Parents let schools educate there children about thees things, so abortion ends up being thought of as a form birth control, and allows Serial killers like Kermit Gosnell exploit them.

I got the full boat 12 years of anti-abortion Catholic Propaganda back in the 1970's, where the nuns were happy to shove that dead fetus picture that even USMB will ban down the throats of 12 year olds.

And I guess, for a while, I bought it. Until I realized it was a scam to get working folks like me to vote against our own economic interests.

Reality, though. Most of the kids I grew up with listened to the bullshit, and when they accidently got knocked up, off to the abortion clinic they went, often with their parent's blessings.

That is the worst logic I have seen used in my life. Giving a choice to a woman of whom that child resides reduces the rights of the child. Its really disconcerting to think we get to play God, deciding who gets to live or die based off of an arbitrary decision that relies on the choice of someone who believes they have been inconvenienced by it..

What if we were like that as adults? If you inconvenience me, I can simply kill you right then and there, no regrets, no murder, no law stopping me from doing it. Do you see how flawed that is?

I find it strange whenever this subject comes up....the focus is always pointed directly at the female....did not the male have a part in this conception? Conservatives always paint the woman as a slut who couldn't keep her legs shut(either directly or implied), but little is said about the man(and I use the term loosely) who either lied, plied, or pried those legs open....or just happened to agree to crawl between them.

Where's the ire directed at them? Why aren't they making deals with the pregnant female and saying "carry the child to term, and if you don't want it...I'll take it and you never have to see it again."

Yes, that is my basic hostility towards religion. Religion is about getting you to bend over and take it. Sometimes by lying to you about all the rewards you get when you are dead, sometimes by getting you upset about this stuff.

But you know what, the pictures they showed us of dead fetuses were pretty graphic, and I think the first time I saw them was fifth grade. Don't know if they are still doing that shit now, but they were doing it back in the 1970's.

And since they are very much in favor of the government handling our procreation rights, then they should be willing to legitimize their sexual activity as being for procreation purposes only. Recreational sex implies an irresponsible attitude towards when life actually begins, and both men and women must register their intent to engage in sexual activity for the purpose of having a child with their respective counties, much like one registers to vote.

If attending physicians, neighbors, or other associates of either sexually active partners obtain knowledge that they are not registered, then they are obligated to notify the state that said person is engaged in risky behavior that might result in an unwanted pregnancy.

The county would then notify the Sex Police, and two officers would be dispatched to the homes of the sexually irresponsible party and issue a first-time warning and given 60 days to register or face fines and sterilization.

Part II
If an unregistered couple becomes pregnant, the female will be put on house-arrest and anyone entering her home will be carefully screened until her delivery date to insure that she doesn't seek termination of the pregnancy.

Upon determination of her pregnancy both partners will immediately have their wages and salaries attached by the state so that a savings account can be set up for the financial security of the unborn child. The funds accrued in the savings account will be carefully monitored by the state to insure that the baby, once born, receives the necessary food, shelter and medical care AND NOT BORNE BY THE TAXPAYER.

This solution should sit very well with our average far right, "pro life" hypocrite, er...um, I mean your average conservative citizen who wants to protect the unborn at the expense of the born... I mean, oh hell....these assholes know who they are.
