Grocery Prices have soared.

Get a better job and quit whining.

No we won't... the savings and earnings when Gas goes back down will solve a lot of it... Drill baby Drill....

So you do want government intervention into the market place? What should Biden do? We know companies aren't lowering their prices back to pre pandemic levels. It's why we raised minimum wage. It's why unions got raises last year. It's why CEO's got raises. Hell, even I got a inflation raise. Everyone at my company did.

Where do you work? Is it a big company? You may need to look for another job. Another thing companies do is not give current employees the raises they deserve. They/YOU have to go find another job if you want to make more money. Why pay you $20 hr when they already have you at $15? And they'll risk you, a good employee, will leave. It's part of the business model. Keep wages low and don't let them organize. No seat at the table for you.

What state do you live in?
What should he do?

How about stop massive immigration while supplies are low. It is a large part of the reason for the inflation of food and housing.

Not rocket science.

The real question is:

Is there less food now, available for us to buy?

Prices sore when there is usually a short supply of goods, compared to the demand for goods....

Is there a food supply shortage? If so, then why? Or has demand greatly increased where supply can't be met?

If not, then why have food prices gone up?

We have 7 million more people in the US, thanks to the border issue, then we had 3 years ago.

About 3 million stayed, the others were returned/rejected.... But even so I don't think that's enough out of 320 million mouths to feed to cause a problem as enormous as this rise in food inflation... It's only a 1% rise in population.....?

And remember we lost 1 million plus adults to COVID19 reducing in country population unexpectedly.

It's got to be a lot more than just that imo, Norm...? I can see the immigrant influx having some affect, but there has to be other major things adding to the cause? This wasn't a small rise in food inflation, it was huge!

(Bible Prophesy says in the end times that it will be:

A days work (Denarius), for a loaf of bread.)

That is SUPER INFLATION!

I'd guess, we are not in the end times yet! :)

I’ll need to see a link to only 3 million stays, but even so, you’d have added enough population that would be larger than many individual states.

a. Supplies aren't low
b. We have 9 million unfilled jobs. Do you want social security to go bankupt?
c. Are you a maker or taker?

One of the most immediate effects of immigration is the heightened demand for multifamily housing. Newcomers, often young and starting families, seek affordable living options within accessible urban centers. This influx can lead to increased occupancy rates and potentially higher rental income for property owners.

Property owners love it! Supply and demand. Let the free market decide.

And do you live in a urban center or a red state? Perhaps you should move to a red state where these problems don't exist because Republican business owners would NEVER hire illegal workers to save money. Nah

lol! This from, “unions are for others not me” guy. You and your condescending attitude towards other of lower status.

What is wrong with this?

Unions are not for everyone but they service a purpose.

The higher your skill level and the fewer people that do what you do, the less you need a union.

I don't need a union I have a college degree. I make $1 million dollars more than uneducated blue collar workers. Over 30 years. Unions are for underpaid blue collar workers who's employers don't think they are worth more than they believe they are worth.

Of course you side with the employer every time on this right?

Sealy’s attitude is, he doesn’t need a union because he is smart, but most American's are not as smart as he is nor do they make the money he makes. I suppose you are too smart to be in a union as well.

It's true papa. I make exactly what I should be making. The median home makes $50K and a guy with a college degree makes $1 million more. That's about $33K more a year. That sounds about right.

So why would I form a union? It's uneducated blue collar workers who are struggling not me. McD workers. Starbucks. Walmart. Target. Ford. Casino. UPS.

And when they win we all win because even our companies give us raises when they win. Why? They're afraid we're going to organize next.

I also work for a small company. Too small to unionize.

I have a question for you. You probably think Trump is going to fix inflation right? Well when asked how, all he could say was drill baby drill. Reminds me of that Family Guy episode where Lois ran for office. Long thought out replies are unwelcomed. Just reply back "9-11" and the crowd cheers. Trump took a page right out of the Family Guy with that response. Probably why it's working. Because Family Guy is right about Americans.

Anyways, isn't Trump's tariffs going to cause prices to skyrocket?

How Trump’s tariff plans could kill jobs and worsen inflation
