Guess what...Oklahoma is doing it anyway

Actually, the OP has been circulated all over the internet folks, for over a year. There is no author or source site. It's also again, over a year old. So these claims of plagiarism are unfounded. This piece has been posted thousands upon thousands of times with no trackback link whatsoever.

Is this what happens when people can't come up with arguments? Resort to Alinskyist tactics? Smear campaigns? How intellectually dishonest can a group of people be?

Yeah, try that one on for size when you're writing for pay. Should go over like a bag of rocks.

You always source. Never take credit for anybody else's efforts, even if it means you have to type "Original Author: Unknown."

Bed Post Boop, I wrote it a few years ago...prove I didn't! :cuckoo:

link? or I'm seriously considering reporting your rw copy n pasting ass.

Your post was so thoroughly devastating that it defied the use of cogent commentary. It was perfect.
His OP is a five year old right wing nut job email he simply cut and pasted.

How surprising a lazy jobless fuck as yourself would glorify it.

yeah TK. WTF?!!! I thought you were turning over a new leaf and trying NOT to be a reactionary hack from here out after that hole you dug for yourself < a week ago? :eusa_eh:

Yeah, and I can point out your obvious attempt to bait me. Moving on.

Ahh, so I did some digging.

The author's name is Glenn Stanfield. That is one of his facebook posts, from what I can tell was deleted. Simply adding that name to the OP will end all liberal attacks on the OP. It will force these liberals to attack the argument instead:

wrong asswipe. :eusa_hand: You just proved that the rw noob plagiarist posted the OP WITH AFORETHOUGHT that the work wasn't his. Didn't you claim that you wanted to go to law school. You better bone up on the basics because your zany reasoning exhibited here would only pass muster at say.......Regent U (where Bachmann went ;) )

So your only comment is to insult an entire state?

Some states place more value on our rights and the constitution than on nanny government. I say it's a good thing.

I am tired of pandering to every person who illegally enters this country. We don't need immigration reform, we need to reform the way Washington handles things. They have ignored the laws for years and allowed illegal aliens to come and collect welfare and take jobs for little pay. We have millions who have refused to assimilate and that is causing a lot of problems in the schools and elsewhere. If they can't assimilate and obey the law, they don't need to be here.

If a scripture from the Koran (sp?) was to be erected on some 4' tall bronze tables or whatever and some group wanted it placed in front of a government building, I think they should be allowed to do it...if we're going to allow it for one religion, we should allow it for all.

Agree or disagree?

Disagree.

This is America, a country formed on Christian values.

If they want to see the Koran erected, they can go back to where the hell they came from.;)

Nonsense.

This country was founded on the rule of law, not men – as men are incapable of ruling justly, your post and those of other rightists is proof of that.

The United States is a secular Nation, whose secular laws are predicated on objective facts and evidence, not subjective religious doctrine and dogma.

The Constitution is a secular document, also predicated on objective facts and evidence, consequently allowing its case law to protect religious liberty.

Fluke is the one who claimed to spend an enormous amount on birth control. She is an activist who had no business testifying as to the legality of forcing religions to pay for birth control pills when her only purpose was to whine about how much it cost her.

We do have separation of church and state, though many religious symbols were on courthouses and such since the beginning of the country. Putting up new ones at a cost to the tax payers is wrong for anyone. We have to respect our constitution, though it would be nice if everyone followed ALL of it and not only the parts they agree with. The people in Oklahoma apparently support Christianity, though they are setting a dangerous precedent because in the future another religion could be supported and then they would be against it. I know most of our founders were religious and it shows throughout history, though separation of church and state must be respected.

Muslims have never been a part of our heritage nor do they appreciate us in the least. Our history with them has been mostly negative. They refuse to assimilate and they have stated in the past that the goal is to spread and multiply until they are the majority. Because they speak out against western culture and are open about not liking non-Muslims and state that they will conquer them, that is reason enough to deny immigration to the United States. They are greatly offended by Americans, other religions and the fact that women here have rights. They would change that if they could. Their treatment of gays and women make me look at them as enemies.

I am glad that states are upholding their rights, especially when it comes to immigration, health care and gun control.

you understand that birth control pills are prescription medication and insurance companies are already paid to cover prescription medication, right?

so why do you want to protect my insurance company for paying for a medically necessary prescription?

oh wait... I know why....

:cuckoo:

If used for conditions other than birth control, then ya no problem, but if just for birth control no,it drives up costs for everyone,do you want them buying condoms also?

it's none of your or anyone else's business what the medication is used for.

no doubt you object to coverage for viagra?

This thread went SO BADLY FOR THE OP that I'd prolly let your n00b acct die and start a new one. This fiasco will follow you around here for your entire time here. Count on it :)

Given its ignorance and stupidity, there’s no doubt you wrote it.

Oh, so Vigilante's real name must be Glenn Stanfield, as I cannot prove it is not.

No, now people can attack the argument. Prove they can actually dispute the subject matter.

You missed him saying he wrote it. Therefore, he is and etc.

I saw that post actually, we normally attribute that to sarcasm. But given that the piece that was "stolen" has been smattered all over the internet for over a year now, people cannot prove or disprove that statement. It has been posted, reposted, re-reposted so many times with or without giving credit to the original author, that it no longer matters. So to be honest, as I see it, Vigilante did nothing wrong. I googled it, the first hit I came to was a forum post that did not acknowledge the author of that piece. So, again, I looked for another; same thing. It took me an hour before I actually found the name of the author. It's safe to assume that if I was in his shoes, I would have thought it OK to copy paste it, as so many others did before him.

Logically, the author did not copyright, nor claim expressed rights over that post as his own intellectual material. If my knowledge serves me correctly, there needed to be a disclaimer stating that it could not be copied or reproduced without expressed consent of the owner. Given how many times it was copied or reproduced without any objection from the owner of the content, I still believe these accusations of plagiarism are flimsy at best, and is an obvious attempt to dodge addressing the point being made.

There was no ‘argument,’ it’s the same tedious wish list from the rightwing agenda, whose items were demonstrated to be ignorant, un-Constitutional, and wrong.

Let's see ,my myopic FAGERAL threadmates. I've now attributed the OP to Mr. Standfield, and as TK explained, and I highly concur, the admission that I might have been the author, and prove it was simply sarcasm, as I'm sure HillBillyJilly's painting all Oklahomans as unable to read EXCEPT five was also sarcasm.... But you disjointed 2 digit IQer's can continue to rant now that I'm back from a sumptuous meal! I can use the laughs of the diversion from the actual topic, as you assholes do when it comes to Obumacare!:badgrin::badgrin:
