Bull crap. White people did the work long before migrant labor ever reared its ugly head. You just don't want to pay a fair price for the grocery's you buy. That is the ultimate truth, people like cheap groceries and they turn a blind eye to how they do it. I buy all of our produce locally, we pay 5 to 6 bucks a pound for locally grown, grain fed, and free range chickens. All of our greens come from our own garden, or our local farms. We are a part of two collective farms out in Fallon where we pay a yearly fee, and then we go out and harvest our own produce, so you are flat wrong.

Untrue. Thanks to the illegal labor ALL wages are driven down to the lowest common denominator. If we did not have a two tier wage system legal vs illegal, the result would be a rise in all wages. That is a simple economic fact. Yes, food costs would go up. But so what. Migrant workers would no longer have to brave the dangers of crossing the desert for slave wages, and locals would have jobs that paid well even though they rely on virtually no education.

And yet plenty of them did it to work oil rigs in North Dakota 12 hours a day, six days a week, in 30 below 0 winters. I know a few who did.

So yes, if the price is right, Americans will certainly do the work.

That said, I have no issue with using migrant labor, but they need to follow our immigration laws and those laws need to be revamped so that they don't have to jump through so many hoops to get a green card.
