I doubt that is true. The genius of the Confederate Army was Stonewall Jackson. His death marked the point that the South began losing the war. The simple truth is that Lee was not the strategist Jackson was and not a tactician at all. Had Jackson not died, there is a good chance the South would have won the war, which would have been a disaster for everyone.
