Harry Reid is a horrid little man

Harry Reid is a horrid little man

I disagree.

.... he's not that little.

He is an embarrassment to the Senate, to the nation, to the LDS church, and to the human race.

"the LDS church"?

:dunno:

What's the question?

The question is, what's the LDS church got to do with politics?
And/or how would you know the guy's relationship with his church anyway?

When he uses his high profile position to make unfounded accusations about people then he isn't representing his faith well. It's not an excommunicable sin. But it's definitely not something Mormons should do. Or anybody. But I don't take it as personally when a Jew or a Catholic or an atheist or whatever does it.

How do you know?

And who gets elected to "represent their faith"?

What basis do we have to even know what Harry Reid's -- or any politician's -- religion is anyway? What does religion have to do with being a Senator or Governor or President, etc? We're still not a theocracy right?

What basis do we have to know? It has been made known. Harry Reid is a Mormon.

A Mormon is always representing their faith in ways that members of other religions may not be. Harry Reid is a Priesthood holder. I don't know whether he is an Elder or High Priest or what, but he is a Priesthood holder.

Did I say religion had anything to do with being a Senator or Governor or President? No. However, he is not purely a politician. He is a politician -- a politician who has misused his position -- but that's not all he is. He is a man, a father, a member of his home community, a member of the church, etc. He doesn't give up those roles when he goes out into the world. And inasmuch as he has behaved dishonorably, he has dishonored his priesthood and his faith.

Harry Reid publicly said that he agreed with someone who said that Mitt Romney sullied the religion. Live by the sword and die by the sword. That was outrageous for Reid to say. And deeply, painfully ironic in light of what a horrible person Harry Reid himself is.

Yes, he's an embarrassment to many people in this state. We could have been rid of him too in 2010 had the GOP not nominated that screwball Angle to run against him.

So what does that tell you? Get rid of the extremists in the Teaparty and you may start winning elections again.

As long as the extremist libs are dispensed with, we have a deal.

Make a deal??? Whatever for? Dems are doing just fine ... can't wait to hear what excuse conservatives will use for their customary drubbing at the polls next time.

By all means, keep catering to your wing-nuts ... .

He is loved in Nevada. In fact, in the last election in which he ran he was endorsed by the Nevada Republican Committee. When the opposition party endorses you, you have to be doing something right. Of course, the fact that the person running against Reid was Sharon angle might have had something to do with their decision. angle was a bigger digbat than Bachmann.

You were never a Republican, scumbag.

Of course all women who are not democrats are dingbats to democrats.

If Harry Reid is a horrible little man where does that leave Boehner?

Is John Boehner hitting the bottle? - Salon.com

He's an impotent drunk who is owned and run by the tee potty.

The right hates Harry because he does his job.

Boehner can't do his job and even if he could, he can't take the time out from his busy schedule of drinking, smoking, tanning and golfing.

Puddly Pillowbite, does it physically hurt to be as stoopid as you are, or is it so intense that you're just numb to it?

Sharron Angle was a dingbat. If she hadn't been, Reid could have been unseated. It's the Nevada GOP's fault that Harry Reid is still in Washington mocking democratic principles.

Polls? Next time?
Umm Let's see how many democrats are retiring from Congress or not running for reelection?
I thought so.
Your side pushed the country too far to the left. You had your shot at "hope and change".
We got Obamacare and the worst post recession recovery in the history of this nation.
And don't hand me this bullshit about GOP Obstruction.
The fact that your agenda went nowhere is because your side refused to accept there was our side. It was the dems way or no way.
The GOP was doing their jobs. That was to prevent a radical liberal/socialist agenda from moving forward.
One of the outcomes of a representative type government is that neither side is supposed to get 100% of what they want. In fact Obama used those very words. Yet he went right along looking for 100% of what HE wanted.
"I will not negotiate".....What does that look like?
And of course all you people could complain about it how the GOP would not sign on to Obama's every whim.
Obama as most libs do, expresses his reaction to disappointment with anger.
"Stop me from doing what I want? I'll show you!"
" I have a pen and I have a telephone"....The man is a self absorbed narcissist.
But, you'll go on worshiping Obama.

And why has it been "made known"? WHO wanted to know, and for what purpose?

Did I say religion had anything to do with being a Senator or Governor or President? No.

Yeah you did. By bringing it up. Why would you bring it up if you didn't think it had something to do with governing? What I want to know is --- what is it? HOW is it a factor?

However, he is not purely a politician. He is a politician -- a politician who has misused his position -- but that's not all he is. He is a man, a father, a member of his home community, a member of the church, etc. He doesn't give up those roles when he goes out into the world. That's not for you to judge. That would be for his family, his community, his church, etc. NONE of which have squat to do with senating or governing or legislating or presidenting.

Harry Reid publicly said that he agreed with someone who said that Mitt Romney sullied the religion. Live by the sword and die by the sword. That was outrageous for Reid to say. And deeply, painfully ironic in light of what a horrible person Harry Reid himself is.

If he said that, then yes it sure was. Reid makes the same mistake you did.
