Holy crap, is the LEFT now beginning to wake up?

Depends on what you mean by "anti-gay" agenda.
No it doesn't. I will not legitimize this pathetic equivocation.

Putting it right in the party platform -- used to focus and guide policy and legislation amd to inform their voting base -- that homosexuality is an abnormal lifestyle choice is an anti gay agenda.

Passing laws to get around the gay marriage ruling is an anti gay agenda.

Again, I will not legitimize your weaselly equivocation. Either admit the true state of today's affairs, or keep lying to support your fantasies.

There are no marriage "rights", dumbass.

You fuckers can't even speak English anymore.

Yes there are. There are "rights" conferred to married couples which are not available to couples who are not married - the right to file joint tax returns, the right to have your spouse be your legal "next of kin", the right to adopt a child, the right to spousal health care coverage.

Marriage is a legal concept which confers a LOT of rights to married couples because they're the foundation of a civil society.

Depends on what you mean by "anti-gay" agenda.
Being against instituting a national month for them - is not anti-gay.
Wanting to remove material in early classrooms that support woke agenda - is not anti-gay.
Not supporting pretend women crushing female athletes, therefore effectively destroying the sport - is not anti-gay.
Not supporting special treatments, grants and affirmative action employment policies for LGBQT is not anti-gay.

Exactly like I said. Acceptance and equal treatment is a bad word for liberals.
They want homage paid, they want special treatment and agendas taught in classrooms.
Against that - is not anti-gay.

BUT - by all means keep saying what you are saying!! PLease!!! Keep it up!!
You are just proving the point.

Everything you say isn't "anti-gay" is the very definition of an "anti-gay agenda".

Female athletes aren't protesting trans-gender athletes - white American men are doing that work. Too bad we can't get straight white men to support abortion rights for women, or maternity leave, or universal health care - stuff we really want and NEED. Instead they support no trans people in women's washrooms - a solution looking for a problem.

Government should treat all citizens equally. There should be no reward or punishment for coupling

Dumbass fucking leftie. ^^^

Has no idea what a Right is.

The right to file a joint tax return? Srsly?

Fucking go to school, dumbass leftie. Crack a book or something.

In general I agree that the fringe of the Dem party has had too much influence in crafting policy positions recently. But in doing so it should be acknowledged it was an over reaction to the Right's homophobia, bigotry, and xenophobia that was the Orange Menace's calling card.

^^^Says the guy who voted for the candidate who said he didn't want his children living in a "racial jungle" with black people.

LOL

* a solution to a nonexistent problem, looking for angry votes

First, I'm not getting my hopes up, even though I've been screaming about the Left's cynical weaponization of PC and Identity Politics since I've been on this board (and long before). However:

Interestingly, both the CNN and MSNBC morning shows spent time on how or if the American Left has gone too far with its cultural issues. This, after James Carville, Bill Maher, and even recently Hillary Clinton and Van Jones have been beating the drum on this. Even Al freakin' Sharpton said the Dems are moving from "progressive" to "regressive" (a word I've used about a thousand times here).

We're seeing Hispanics give up and move towards the GOP now. November looks like an ass kicking. Are the Democrats beginning to figure it out, are they starting to realize that they've been concentrating on the wrong issues for too long, losing the working class vote over "defund the police", reparations, destroying businesses that don't want to bake a cake, and trans parades in grade schools?

Are they waking up? AND, is it too late, are they too dependent on it and attached to it to fix this?

No. The Marxist Progressives are in control of the party and the legacy media. The goals are to destroy the family, kill God, and destroy the values that built this Country. The way to do it is infiltrate the schools, confuse and blur the lines of gender and identity, erode our Constitutional Rights, and marginalize whites who they see as stakeholders of traditional values.

Only then will a Marxist/Socialist paradise be realized with a small number of white Marxist elites ruling our lives.

Nothing you've posted is even close to the truth, but then you still believe the Welfare Queen lie.

Traditional values are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Nothing about racism, lies and protecting religious bigots anywhere.

You haven't been paying attention

Actually, you posts generally show that you aren't paying attention

Sure thing, Baghdad Berg. The inflation, shortages, and all the rest of the insanity forced upon us by the actions of your potato messiah are all the Republican's fault.

Not what said. Reading comprehension issues? I said Repubs and their media cohort have successfully persuaded many Americans that Biden is to blame for inflation. I didn't say it was Repub's fault.

And now we see exactly what the OP was saying.
The far left here defending wokism is not going to pull their party back together.
This is exactly why traditional liberals are pulling back, as well as minorities.
Imagine expecting economic concerns to come before rainbow patches and internet bullying.... how dare they

But you complicate your own topic.

The person defeated by Youngkin was not running on a platform of teaching CRT in schools or allows trans to use the bathroom of their choice.

These problems were exaggerated and ginned up by Youngkin and other, various right wing actors, because angry people vote.

We both know Youngkin doesn't actually believe those things are serious problems.

Get an honest poll of how many Youngkin voters had personal experience with either of those two issues. Honest results would be in the single digits, at most.

What do you suggest his opponent do? Come out and say, "I agree with the entire Youngkin campaign platform!"?

The good news for you Dims is after the midterms the GOP will have to govern. Can they? I am not convinced.

That is why I was not too concerned after Biden got in. I knew the direction of the Dim Party, and I knew how utterly incompetent Biden/Harris would be. Winning/Cheating an election was the easy part. Governing is a whole other story.

It isn't about whether or not they can. Anyone can govern poorly.

The question is whether or not they WANT to govern.

They have made it clear that they do not.

One or two races doesn't address the macro national reputation that has been so richly earned by the Left, by their own actions, over the last decades.

You can dismiss all of it. I'm just relieved to see that not everyone on the Left is.
