Trump exaggerates everything he does and his drug cost reduction is no exception. There has been no reduction and the chance of any real reduction in cost due to his executive order are slim to none. However, it may well buy him some votes since that was the purpose. As with most executive actions, this one will begin what will be a lengthy bureaucratic process that may or may not ultimately result in anything. At any rate, no one is going see any reduction in cost before the election due to this executive order. However I'm sure Trump will be announcing huge cuts in the cost of drugs at his rallies. And if anyone calls him out, he will just claim false news.
