How will the anti God crowd act if Jesus comes soon.

I don't agree with the movement to turn America into a Christian theocracy. Do you?

I have no problem with individual evangelicals doing their thing, including proselytizing on this forum. I just want them to be honest about it.

That's why I spoke up. You don't that, too bad.

I have just as much right to post on this forum as you do.

Encouring Christians to live their faith and inviting others to learn and live through Christ is turning America into a Christian theocracy now? Christians desiring to share their beliefs in public create an American theocracy?

I never claimed you don't have the right to post on this or any other forum so much as the owners allow us. I just think becoming angry at others while claiming you are a victim of them forcing themselves on you when you have a choice whether to participate in the discussion is disengenous, dishonest, and done not for the sake of discussion but for ego.

You aren't a victim because someone shares their faith or beliefs. Nor is anyone else a victim because you share yours. Stop pretending to be what you are not and start taking responsibility for yourself. Let others take care of themselves.

I'm a great supporter of Christians living their faith. The problem is, some who call themselves Christian, preach hate.

Notice how againsheila and I post to each other. We have disagreements, passionate ones, but we respect and like each other alot.

Michelle Bachmann is a mainstream politician running for POTUS. She is a Christian extrremist. She would like to see the US as a Christian theocracy.

That kind of influence worries me. Alot of people take her seriously as a candidate for the highest office in our land.

If theocrats win, all of us lose, including you, my Christian friend. Unless you are Michelle Bachmann's kind of Christian, you lose.

I hope you are that passionate when the Muslims try to make us an Islamic theocracy. Believe it or not, that is coming.

Sky, I don't know what incidence you are talking about, but if everybody there ignored him and he wasn't arrested and nobody made a big deal about it, he never would do it again.

He wanted attention and got it and you played right into his hands.

There used to be an idiot downtown Federal Way that would preach about the Bible and Christianity loudly to everyone, even the cars passing by, we all ignored him and he eventually went away.

Every religion has their idiots...

I'm still concerned about you thinking I shouldn't believe that Christianity is the only true religion while you yourself pointed out so many others that believe their religion is the one true religion. Why is it that only Christians aren't suppose to believe that?

Sheila,

I have said that it's natural for anyone practicing a religion to think it is the one, true path. Inclsding Christians. What some Christians do, that I don't do, is try to convert me to Christianity.

I was born a Catholic, another religion that considers itself the one, true path. I was not free to choose another faith until I was old enough to leave home. I chose Buddhism.

BTW. That DMV guy kept going back to DMV until he was arrested. IMO, he had no right to interfere in the lives of the customers of DMV with his yelling of bible verses.

It's the so-called 'moderate Christians' who defend the actions of lunatics that worry me.

I've seen posters on this forum who call themselves moderate Christians but defend the likes of Pastors Scott Lively and Martin Ssempa

Obviously, not all Christians think alike, but when a group of them show support for idiots like these guys, I worry.

I hate to show my ignorance, but who're Scott Lively and Martin Ssempa?

Scott Lively is on a worldwide mission to "drop the nuclear bomb" on gay people. He was behind the kill gays legislation in Uganda. He wrote the book, the Pink Swastika, claiming that gays were responsible for the Holocaust.

Martin Ssempa is the African pastor supported by an American church in Las Vegas. He wrote the kill gays bill. He shows gay porn in churches as a method to stir up hatred.

Several posters on this forum support these pastors. They don't think they did anything wrong.

That concerns me. They consider themselves moderate Christians. Some of them were posters I'd previously felt close to as friends. I was shocked. It hard to be friends with people who don't think killing "your kind" is wrong.

I oppose any and all theocracies, even Buddhist ones.

Yeah, crazy, isn't it? He's especially fond of scat porn. Apparently, he isn't considered about hets having anal sex, only killing queers.

What do you think you will say to Jesus ?

How do you think you will act towards Jesus ?

Will you ask for forgivness ?
I personally would be more concerned with how those who claim to be Christians would act towards Jesus if he returned today.

Sure there are some, who would humble themselves....but lately, and sadly, I doubt that most of those who claim to be Christians, would. :(

*also, here Christ is speaking to believers.....yes, believers....supposedly. Even the group which he labels goats, recognize and call Him Lord....

Matthew 25:31-46

New International Version (NIV)

The Sheep and the Goats

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

So like I said, I think I would be more concerned with those who claim to be Christians?

My question is, what are the Christians gonna do when Yeshua tells them that they've got some serious wrinkles in what they've been believing for the past 1500 years because of the way the Catholic church screwed it up when they sacked Jerusalem?

I'm also gonna wonder what He'd say about the division that seems to exist between various sects of Christians.

I'm also curious about those who have stated that Christianity is the only way. Is He gonna tell the Jews (who have stayed true to their religion for over 2,000 years), as well as the Hindus and Buddhists that they are all consigned to hell?

I'd also like to know what He'd think about all the good Christians who run around denigrating others, because it says something about that in Proverbs........

Proverbs 6:16-19
King James Version (KJV)

16These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

That makes no sense, he is probably a self hating homosexual.

This thread totally backs up my view that Christians constantly proselytize. Damn right I'm gonna bitch about it.

Freedom of religion means I don't have to put up with you or anyone else shoving your bible in my face.

What is the real problem here ?

You do not like the information ?

You do not have to view this thread get real.

What's the problem here? No problem. I point out that you are proselytizing Christianity in this thread with LONG bible quotes.

It's the truth. Should I not speak the truth?

You'd rather I just let you use this forum to push Christianity. You apparently have the right to do this, just as I have the right to point it out.

You don't win people over to Christianity this way.

When people see facts, it sometimes has a way of changing minds and hearts.

I can think of mere mortals that have more grace than a god who would kill infants and children.

Oh boy not this arguement again.

It's still valid.

If one of you idiot sheep say god has more grace than we will ever know then that is akin to saying any mass murderer has more grace than the average mortal.

The thing is huggy, you can't reason out mans system is set up with laws and punishment is handed down by man when man breaks the laws.

Huggy are you pro choice or pro life ?

Are you anti war or pro war when needed ?

Are you pro capital punishment or do you think we should just lock up murderers and feed them the rest of their lives ?

Charles Manson said he was Jesus.

He couldn't have been. His was a non-prophet organisation.

Jesus warned many would claim to be him in the last days.

Mar 13:19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never shall be.
Mar 13:20 And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect's sake, whom He has chosen, He has shortened the days.
Mar 13:21 And then if anyone shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ! Or, lo, there! Do not believe him.
Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give miraculous signs and wonders in order to seduce, if possible, even the elect.
Mar 13:23 But take heed; behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

Another prophecy fulfilled.

Oh, I see. You think it's ok to aggressively force others to listen to bible drivel? Like the guy at the DMV office? People were forced to listen to that idiot because they had DMV business. You support those bozos? Knock yourself out.

Freedom of religion means I am entitled to not take up Christianity just because the majority does. It means I am free to practice any religion or none without harassment.

You think it's ok that idiot goes there on purpose with video cameras to provoke their own arrest?

I see. You're entitled. I'm not entitled to oppose your view.

Some message boards prohibit proselytizing. This one, obviously does not.

I will speak out about this, whether you like it or not.

I believe in freedom of religion for everyone. Not just myself. I am very sorry that you don't agree.

I don't agree with the movement to turn America into a Christian theocracy. Do you?

I am agains't all organized religion.

Jesus will have only Christians on this earth some day but you're free to believe as you wish.

I never said don't post here.

To me it is the only true religion. Why would you have a religion if you don't believe it's the only true religion?

If that's arrogance, than I'm arrogant.

Too bad you don't see that a Buddhist, Hindu, Jew or Muslim sees their religion as true as much as you see Christianity as true.

This isn't a Christian theocracy. Get over it.

Sky, read the OP. You joined this discussion on your own, no one forced you. Yes, I know that Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims and all other religions in the world see theirs as the only true religion. Apparently, you only believe Christians shouldn't, why is that?

Never said this was a Christian theocracy, so I have nothing to get over. I hope, for your sake (and mine) that I'm wrong and when Christ comes back, you recognize him. I would like you to join me in heaven.

As for tolerance, I still tolerate other religions, that doesn't mean I don't believe in mine.

And neither did i.

Christians are beginning to rise up and speak their minds.

I have been clear from the start i am no part of an organized religion. They were mans creation and they're described as the great harlot of babylon the great.

Abraham didn't need organized religion nor did job and many others that were called God's friends.
