Zone1 If racism is the cause for poverty among blacks, why are 75% of blacks NOT poor?

The same goes for many White people all over the world.

Dark people. How racist of you. Say it again and again
Isn’t that how you refer to yourselves?
”The black community”
”The minority community”
”People of color”
etc etc

Is it RACIST when you do it?

With the abscense of a valuable race card comes the presence of work boots….and work boots are kryptonite to the 40 drinkin, weed smoking, baby-making machines.
They will hold on to that race card for eternity.

I did not know I was dark. LOL
Unwoke wise white people NEVER speak like you do….you are either dark or you are a woke white guilt whacko.

Aren't Whites also getting a free ride off the tax payer money?

What race gets the most SNAP benefits?

White

SNAP recipients represent different races and/or ethnicities. White: about 37 percent; African American: 26 percent; Hispanic: 16 percent; Asian: 3 percent; and Native American: about 2 percent.

-------------

What excuses do the 37% of Whites have to ask and accept any benefits?
Again, you’re skirting right over per-capita:

Whites are about 70% of the population and account for 37%, and blacks are only 13% and account for 26%? Blacks are substantially more likely to be on welfare than whites. And that’s due to the astronomically high illegitimacy rate, and the resulting low educational attainment, and the resulting high crime rate.

But why, oh why, oh why, which you are not capable of grasping.

You are being ridiculous by blaming whites for the plight of blacks.
Not when the evidence is documented about what has been and continues to be done.

For example:

Citygroup did a study focusing on U.S. GDP from 2000 until 2020. The study revealed huge losses in GDP due to continuing discrimination against blacks in business revenue, education, housing credit, and income. The study determined that since the year 2000, continuing discriminatory practices in the four areas mentioned in the prior sentence resulted in a loss of 16 trillion dollars in GDP. The breakdown is as follows:

“Closing the Black racial wage gap 20 years ago might have provided an additional $2.7 trillion in income available for consumption and investment.

Improving access to housing credit might have added an additional 770,000 Black homeowners over the last 20 years, with combined sales and expenditures adding another $218 billion to GDP over that time.

Facilitating increased access to higher education (college, graduate, and vocational schools) for Black students might have bolstered lifetime incomes that in aggregate sums to $90 to $113 billion

Providing fair and equitable lending to Black entrepreneurs might have resulted in the creation of an additional $13 trillion in business revenue over the last 20 years. This could have been used for investments in labor, technology, capital equipment, and structures and 6.1 million jobs might have been created per year.”

Your opinion is not supported by anyone with good sense.

A closer look might reveal that poor blacks just aren't taking advantage of their opportunities. Middle-and-upper class blacks have.
Exactly. Around here, we have married-couple blacks who are both employee by the government, with plenty of work from home days, no risk of job loss, and inflation protection, who combined bring home around a quarter of a million dollars a year.

They made good choices.

You are a racist. No if, or but. Period.
Watch out. This is zone 1. You can't call people racists in zone 1. Because this is a right wing forum and to right wingers no matter how much evidence exists, they believe that racist/racism is overused.

But why, oh why, oh why, which you are not capable of grasping.
Why, oh why? It ain’t whites’ fault that most black girls have babies they can’t afford out of wedlock.

Blaming racism is making the problem WORSE. The better thing to do is tell poor blacks that there is no excuse to remain in poverty given the opportunities American taxpayers are giving them: paid educational opportunities, and financial support while they are learning a skill or trade. They are lucky to be in this country, and they should be told that.

In 2017, Demos published a study titled, “The Asset Value of Whiteness: Understanding the Racial Wealth Gap.” On page ten, this statement is written: “The median white single parent has 2.2 times more wealth than the median black two-parent household and 1.9 times more wealth than the median Latino two-parent household.”

Your opinion of things shows an inability to deal with reality.

You are not qualified to tell blacks anything.

“The median white single parent has 2.2 times more wealth than the median black two-parent household and 1.9 times more wealth than the median Latino two-parent household.”

Your inability to study the situation because of your bias has you missing critical facts that could lead to an accurate diagnosis of the problem.

So white racism made ShaNiqua have four baby daddys, it also made DaShawn have nine children with five hoot rats….AND it also elected a black president….TWICE!
hahahaha….reconcile that ladies and gentlemen…..GOOD LUCK.

Whites do the same thing. You claiming to elect a black president means nothing.

It was already pointed out that blacks - as a whole - spend more of their income on things, and whites save more money. That is one reason whites have more wealth.

Another reason is that whites - as a whole - have higher educational attainment, and thus higher earnings. My single-income household was more than the average two-income household. Why? Because MOST dual-income households are comprised of high school grads - the husband working the deli counter and the wife a waitress, for example - whereas I have a graduate degree and a well-compensated set of skills.

You need to remove the education variable to get a true picture.

Brokeloser did it. Anyways.......

Many Whites have been the racists in the US. The laws have been racist.

There is something to it that it does cause some minorities to have a high poverty rate.
I’m not saying whites haven’t been racist. There are no racist laws today. Not every negative in a black persons life is race related. Regardless of your race, everyone is responsible for their success or lack of.

The question that is not answered is why has black poverty consistently been at least double that of whites for at least the last 90 years?

Because blacks are not in that poverty because of any of the excuses made by whites in this thread. I know this because I'm black living facing what blacks face, not some white person with a negative opinion about blacks.
But you claim to be successful. Didn’t the white man keep you from succeeding?
