In a republic, it is the inherent DUTY of every representative to effectively REPRESENT THE WILL OF THEIR CONSTITUENTS. The facts are clear, the majority of Americans DO NOT WANT this monstrosity called Obamacare. When you do not represent what your constituents want, then the options are also clear. From the founding of this great nation, people have negotiated policy and have accepted partial victories as part of the way things are in that form of government. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were hotly debated by those involved in their creation. Even today the interpretation of those two documents are cause for disagreement and we look to the Supreme Court to define the meaning of some of those clauses. The republicans in Congress have sent bill after bill after bill to the Senate to fund some portions of the government (National Institute of Health, Parks, Memorials, Veteran benefits), yet they have all been rejected by Harry and the Democrats.

I have been clear to my representatives and Senators. Kill this monstosity. If you can't outright repeal it, defund it or delay it. I believe that this law will cause incredible pain for whats left of the middle class, increase the debt of the US Government to a level that is beyond dangerous, and will NOT result in its intended goals. You cannot be everything to everybody, and if you try you will surely fail being anything to anyone.

Sallow, 80% of Americans say they are NOT AFFECTED by the government shutdown. I believe that the President has gone the extra mile to make the shutdown as bad as possible by even trying to shutdown things that are not within the federal perview (putting barricades up on private land near Mt. Rushmore). Leaders DO NOT do what Barry is doing with this issue. But, Barry and his associates ARE NOT leaders.

I truly feel as though the President is the big loser here. Personally and in the stature of the office that he holds. No one will remember Ted Cruz or Mike Lee or any of the alleged 'Tea Party' house members. They WILL remember that as President, Barrack Obama failed to overt a shutdown of the government. But that is in HIS hands. As an old saying goes, "You made your bed, now you have to lie in it."
