Especially this. Like the ritual of pretending to eat a 2k year old dead mans flesh and drink his blood.ways they worship
I think it only natural for human beings to try and get others to think the way they do....why bash the worship of others by attacking their faith, religious denomination, or the ways they worship?
I understand you and others may see it this way. Many others have an entirely different understanding which makes it true worship of God and what He has called some to do.Especially this. Like the ritual of pretending to eat a 2k year old dead mans flesh and drink his blood.
Thats exactly what it is.I understand you and others may see it this way
It isnt. Its just ridiculous. Like I said. How is this form of worship hurting any other forms of worship?
Excellent post, excellent insight. Reminds me of that age old stoic philosophy advising not to worry about joining in with the majority--worry about being absorbed into the ranks of the insane.I think it only natural for human beings to try and get others to think the way they do.
Why?
On average, if you go along with the herd there is safety. There is strength in numbers, and if everyone is doing it, odds are there is a good reason unless they are all more stupid than yourself.
The downside is when your leader of the group jumps off a cliff as the herd jumps with him.
But yes, we are all sheeple, so we innately want as big of a herd as we can get for our own peace of mind and protection.
That is what makes being a Christian so disconcerting. Odds are, if you with the majority, you are on the wrong side of things.
Do you have similar views of manna and the Bread of the Presence? It isnt. Its just ridiculous. Like I said.
Those in no way compare to the the communion ritual.Do you have similar views of manna and the Bread of the Presence?
What they all have in common is the presence of God.Those in no way compare to the the communion ritual.
Look, the ritual is silly af. Its pretend cannibalism. Its weird. What they all have in common is the presence of God.
This is about what you cannot accept. Manna. Bread of the Presence. Eucharist. All throughout time God has used Bread to bring His presence as a gift and a blessing to mankind: You say you don't see that presence, and that's fine. God's presence isn't it all that is invisible to the human eye. For example, the human eye cannot see infrared or ultraviolet light. Bet you are certain they exist. Many of us are equally certain of God's presence in our midst.Look, the ritual is silly af. Its pretend cannibalism. Its weird.
If you cant accept that, fine.
No, its about that ridiculous ritual of you people pretending to eat a dead mans flesh. This is about what you cannot accept. Manna. Bread of the Presence. Eucharist. The body of Christ is living. He said, "This is my body" when he was living and after he resurrected from the dead. We are in the living presence of Christ, body, blood, and divinity. Infrared light, Ultraviolet light, Christ. All unseen and all present. No, its about that ridiculous ritual of you people pretending to eat a dead mans flesh.
Fine. You pretend to eat a live mans flesh and drink his blood. The body of Christ is living. He said, "This is my body" when he was living and after he resurrected from the dead. We are in the living presence of Christ, body, blood, and divinity. Infrared light, Ultraviolet light, Christ. All unseen and all present.
There is the key word ....why bash the worship of others by attacking their faith, religious denomination, or the ways they worship?
Reality. Jesus explains how this reality works. Those who have faith in Christ accept his word. The life it brings is good.Fine. You pretend to eat a live mans flesh and drink his blood.
Is the worship of God true? That's may be the only important question, that which is in a person's heart when they are before God. Do arguments about indulgences, when to Baptize, whether Elisha went to heaven in a chariot of any importance when we worship God?There is the key word .
But unfortunately intelligent people find it hard not to voice their savvy when they see so many so called religions founded on mistranslations , lies , deceit and gullibility .Let alone outright nonsense.
Enjoy, Ms. Lector.Reality. Jesus explains how this reality works. Those who have faith in Christ accept his word. The life it brings is good.
Shrug. You are the one chortling, dismissing what you see as cannibalism. Cannibalism is the consumption of dead flesh. The host is no longer living. Changing something that is into something it is not changes everythingEnjoy, Ms. Lector.
Its a ridiculous and very weird ritual. It deserves to be made fun of.Shrug. You are the one chortling, dismissing what you see as cannibalism. Cannibalism is the consumption of dead flesh. The host is no longer living. Changing something that is into something it is not changes everything
Consider: Think of someone entering into a discussion of a loved one. They begin with changing a loved one into something else, say a rat. Then they feel totally justified in continuing with, "And rats should be treated...."
Dehumanizing people may be effective, but equally, it is wrong because when one sinks into dehumanization, they are confessing they already lost the case and have moved on to something else.
