Are you suggesting the GOP is succeeding?

It's kind of ridiculous to hope your president fails whether you like him or not. In fact, it's downright immature. A positive moment for our country? He is here until 2017 whether you like it or not. Your logic is completley flat.

The upcoming elections will be good for the GOP due to the gerrymandering and more DEM seats being up for grabs than GOP seats. I predict 52 seats will be in GOP hands come January in the US Senate. This will allow the GOP to pass legislation in the House and the Senate --you can't filibuster everything--and bills will finally land on the President's desk.

A smart Congressional team would be able to see what is coming. Fortunately for the Democrats, the GOP of 2015 will be anything but smart. Rarely does a President look so strong as when he is vetoing legislation from the opposition party. The GOP won't be able to help themselves and they will try to unwind everything that has been passed in the previous 6 years in some form or another because their hard right flank owns their soul. So the President will look much better next Summer when he has some victories under his belt; courtesy of the GOP.
