Imagine if capitalism was left unfettered and free of government intervention or regulation

He is suggesting that unfettered capitalism is not the answer. Capitalism is great. But that regulations need to be there.

Oh, I know what he's suggesting, I'm just saying that it's delusional to think selecting 'progressive' corporate puppets will change anything

We won't accept credit, you pay up front in gold, and extra for express delivery. :21:

You do know that it's supposed to be a socialist revolution to destroy capitalist oppression, right?

So maybe you should cut back on your greedy fantasies of making a quick buck out of honest class warfare and deliver them at cost or even donate them for the cause

:coffee:

Sweet, would you be interested in some property, because I could cut you a deal on it.
We're having a Socialist Labor Day Sale this weekend. All you need to do is pretend it's yours.

I wonder if the automobile, the telephone, television etc...etc...would of been invented yet if the world didn't go to capitalism?

.
That’s a pointless argument because what I am suggesting has nothing to do with ending capitalism. God you people are dumb.

You post a thread hating on capitalism, and I post a factual wonder question to say you are posting stupid..

Now tell us all the great inventions that came out of socialism / communism ??????
So it's either Gilded Age capitalism with almost no middle class and people working until they dropped dead (at the ripe old age of 50) or communism?

Bullshit.

Progressive policies were a reaction to unfettered capitalism and they not only gave us a stable economy but built a middle class that actually had the ability to work throughout their life in dignity but allowed them to retire in dignity.
You would destroy all that in the name of more profit for the uber rich

Wonderful

Bullshit, what built the middle class was World War II the unemployment level rose in 1938.... It was a fluke in history the world was destroyed and America's industry was the only one left standing, we didn't have the EPA back then and none of the rules / regulations we have today , any joe could of started a factory out of his garage and build an empire .

....

And many did. Build unregulated factories that is. And so it went until the late 60's when even a republican like Nixon could see the damage being done so he established the EPA.

Necessary evil if we are to have shared infrastructure and security.

Sorry, I don't care what your fantasies are. If you want them, you pay for them, and what you do with them after that is not my concern. You're no better than the greedy bastards you want to kill, so get to it. They're way ahead of you in the weapons department, so that gold is still going to have to be upfront.

I recall when there was less government interference and so I can picture how awful our air and water would become with the government not involved.

Am I supposed to be impressed by that?

What makes you think that could be impressive?
We have shacks too if that's more what you are looking for. :21:
I'm not entirely sure what your point is here? Do you believe I'm in the market for a house or something? I don't get it, do you have a point to make?

My point is that with all that success Russia has had with rocket engines, you could embrace the socialist dream and enjoy the opportunity to pretend it amounts to something for you. Now wouldn't that be nice? Would you like some make believe caviar with that, or just a stale honey bun so you do look too gauche?

Russia's rocket technology is what is used to get US satellites into space. I think we all benefit from that technology, don't you?

No shit, it's great. Some benefitted a bit more than others though, and you can check the banking records.

Oh, but I assure you that the consequences of the coming revolution will be of some concern to greedy capitalists... and that includes arms dealers...

That attitude is not exactly helpful comrade

How about a compromise, deliver the guiliotines for free and you can supply a list of enemies of the people who need to be.... 're-educated'... also free of charge...

Deal?

It really depends on who you are trying to help. I don't trust either of you, and "re-education" ain't what you're going to get if you come looking for anything other than business. I mean we'll give you a place to stay, but you won't need to pack a bag where you'll be headed.

Yes, I understand how the capitalist system works. But that was never really the point. The point was simply to state that the technology was developed in a "communist" state.

Whoop-de-doo, the point is that the communist state ain't quite as communist and a heck of a lot more oligarchy. You can pretend you are getting yours, but there are actually some folks getting theirs.

Hence the parenthesis.

If capitalist pigs are going to pretend that the Soviet Union was an example of a failure of communism, then you are going to have to continue the charade and accept its successes as well. You can't have it both ways.

The 99% of course (well the 90% to be honest, the 9.99% that are willing accomplices of the 0.01% have it coming too)

This busine$$ attitude is bit depressing but I guess it's unavoidable for the moment. I'll start a GoFundMe page to arrange the gold.. you make sure you have the guiliotines ready for delivery when the next banker scam screws up the holy economy again...
