Who? How? You think being poor is fun? LolWhile I agree with you on the multiple causes of poverty and that many families are one financial disaster away from poverty, I also think there were those who are being enabled to stay poor instead of actually being helped out of their poverty. In my city I work with our impoverished populations. There are many reasons that's cause poverty and way too many Americans are one financial disaster away from poverty. Implying it is all, or even mostly self inflicted is ignorant to the issues faced in our inner cities.Poverty is usually not self inflicted... people don't choose to be born poor and in today's day and age it's nearly impossible to pull yourself out of poverty.Like with police or authorities, or in clubs, or to get a job, in school, in hospital etc. Or this is wrong?
No, but it's not as simple as that. It's harder for poor blacks because they grow up with self inflicted handicaps.
Blacks who grow up in middle and upper class families have no trouble at all and likely have advantages that whites will never have.
Poverty is most often self inflicted. When there are programs available to help and you don't participate because your culture prohibits it, or you get pregnant at age 15 and have 3 or 4 kids before you are even old enough to drink.
In my county the only welfare recipients exempt from mandatory work requirements are those who provide medical docs proving they can not carry out such requirements.
The disable are being enable? Give me a break.
