Which is a misdemeanor in NY law........and beyond the statute of limitations.

Correct. But Trump wasn't charged and convicted of falsifying business records in the 2nd degrees...a misdemeanor; he was charged with falsifying business records in the 1st degree, a felony.

The statute of limitations did not expire for a felony.

Why do you think Trump's team never brought it up pretrial? Do you think they are stupid?

Trump has not been convicted either.
He doesn't have to be convicted of the predicate crimes, intent is the threshold.

You're wrong about that.
Yeah, sure.

That makes sense. Trump's legal team never brought up such a basic law because they are the dumbest lawyers ever.

If only they had you in their team this would be over already.

Elevated to a felony based on predicate crimes.

Yeah, I know.
Which are BS. One is Tax evasion of Cohen. Ill ask again....Did Trump file Cohen's tax returns.

$2700 campaign funds....Cohen. Trump paid for his campaign and again Cohen guilty doesnt make it so for Trump.

Kangaroo court.

This is the novel theory, using SOL expired violations as the predicate to morph into a new crime. Sounds very unconstitutional and probably is.
Not novel at all.

Who lied to you?

Been a law for decades and thousands have been charged with it.

Now cause it's Trump, you suddenly care. Lol.
