I don't have to. He is very clear in his statement. I admire the man. Sadly he was a President when actually he was never meant to be. But if he had been just a diplomat, what a diplomat extraordinaire he would have been. It would have been his best legacy.

His greatest accomplishment was peace between Egypt and Israel. Until Obama undid it. It was a lasting peace.

But his heart is good. He reminds me so much of Pearson.

Carter said quite plainly that the ObamaCare rollout was a disaster. Carter's not a dumb man. He clearly understands that the ACA isn't going to work and why it's not going to work. All he's done in the Parade article is to point out what SHOULD be obvious to anyone who's not wearing partisan blinders...the ACA was bad legislation that never should have been passed because it doesn't DO what the people wanted...which was to lower the cost of their health care.

You have to remember that Carter was elected in the Post Watergate "hangover" when Americans didn't want another Washington insider as their President. They went for a little known peanut farmer from rural Georgia because they were looking for the "anti Nixon". Carter views his work post Presidency as his best because his work AS the President really wasn't adept. I respect his honesty.
