Joe B updated Democratic Field Rating (Progressives only, please)

[

Gentlemen, pahleeze!

I am going to leave this thread alone after this post, because I respect Joes' request. But what I would like to point out to you is---------------->

1, most are national.

2. We have the leading 2 candidates for the Democratic nominee on polar opposite stances as far as personality and income. What is the probability that either of these candidates can carry even 75% of the others votes in a general election?

2 A. The consensus is that Trump is soooooooooooo hated, that yes, they can carry the 75% threshold and above of each others people in the general; but what if BEFORE the general, it was to come out that the whole narrative was propaganda, and someone(s) on high were perp walked out in handcuffs? Ya think they could carry 75% of each others votes then?

So the BILLION dollar question is------------> are Trump and the GOP playing you with this conspiracy, cause if they are, the Left has a very, very, decent chance of winning.

But if they aren't playing all of us, and someone(s) takes the perp walk, the DNC is going to collapse INSTANTLY! It won't even be a race, and the down ballot races will be WORSE for the Left.

We are going to find out! And trust me when I tell you---------> something is going on, because if I was the opposing party and had a lead like they tell you they do, I sure as hell wouldn't want to piss people off, because theoretically...…….if I keep status quo, I have already won!

This is kind of gibberish.... you were probably better off keeping out of it. I'm not sure what the perp walking stuff is, since we know Trump won't be perped walked and if it's anyone else, he'll pretend he didn't know him. Rudy? Never met the guy!

Honestly, I've read this twice, and it's babble.

Asking the trump idiots to stay out of this is like asking fleas to stay away from dogs. Your'e going to get some stupidity regardless of how much you don't want it.

Tulsi Gabbard can go. Pete doesn't have the experience. He was the mayor of a town with 100,000 people in it and had problems. He has a bright future and should run for another higher office before trying to be president. Bernie has a cult following, but the most qualified candidate for president is Biden and a Biden/Klobachar ticket would win. Warren is great but she may be better off in a cabinet position. Steyer and Bloomberg can buy ads. Bloomberg has major problems, and while he is not trump, his past is bad enough to disqualify him with me. But if he ends up being the nominee, I'll vote for him because 1 is still better than zero.

But they all are better than what we have now.
LOL. Biden is a known fool. Even your beloved Messiah refuses to support the dunce.
Obama has endorsed no one. Meanwhile your candidate is trying to stop states from putting his primary challenger on a ballot. Biden is a far superior candidate to trump that it is not even funny. trump is the known fool in this discussion.

Being blind in one eye, and not being able to see out the other, is a perfect excuse...…….NOT!

But hey, the Conservatives knew exactly what I was talking about, and with any kind of luck, so will you soon!

Was for Joe Biden, but now leaning MB. You are correct that Joe is in free fall and I don’t see any reversal of that trend. I thought I would never vote for a businessman for president given the atrocious track record of W. and Trump, but Bloomberg at least sounds reasonable and has the best chance of taking out the the Orange scourge.

So your primary requirement for a potential President, is whether or not he can beat an incumbent?

:21:

‘LOL...first, I said Bloomberg sounds reasonable and second yeah, I am not going to vote someone that will lose to Trump.Though that sounds like Trumpist logic. Trumpist votes for the biggest loser to ever to hold the Presidency.

Every one of those clownshoes Democratic candidates is like the proverbial dog chasing the car: If they ever do really catch it, they're not going to have a clue as to what to do with it. Do you really think any of those losers can fill a real President's shoes?
Trump’s shoe size like his hand size are very, very small.

His legacy is large. Very large. President Trump has fundamentally and irreversibly transformed this nation, down to the cellular level. Many of his accomplishments won't even be realized for generations.
He has brought us down into the sewer with him

The loons have infiltrated this thread. Donald trump is a joke and we would be fools to elect this idiot to another term. Every democrat running is a better choice than he is. trump has fucked up Americas reputation worldwide and only in fact free world is he a strong prosperous president.

Hey Joe, what do you think of the following statement made by Caitlin Johnstone.

“The problem with threatening the DNC with a Trump re-election if they install a right-wing candidate is that Democratic Party elites don't care if Trump gets re-elected; he supports all their favorite agendas and they keep their jobs regardless. It's not a real threat to them.”

I think it depends on what you think the real threat of Trump is.

The problem of Trump is not so much his policies, they all end up closer to the center, even Trump.

It's his disregard for the rule of law and democratic institutions... That's why he needs to go. Which is why I would be equally comfortable voting for Sanders or Bloomberg, who are on the two edges of your extreme.

Personally, I also think Bloomberg would probably be better at running the country, as he has a long history of working with diverse groups to get things done. Sanders, on the other hand, as Hillary said, has been in Congress for 40 years and has no friends there.
Yes we know you love Hillary and believe every word she says.

Joe you really disappoint me. I thought you were smarter.

Ahh, no. I just sat back and laughed for 8 years as he did the exact opposite of everything he claimed as you defended him calling any criticism of him racist, knowing that payback would be a bitch.

Well, let's look at that. Your payback was nominating a racist who has now smeared your entire brand with his racism. Long after Trump has gone, you guys will be polling in single digits with minorities, because they will all remember Trump's racism.

If this guy was running against Trump the liberals on this board would vote for him and just say he is misunderstood.

Ted Bundy was a Republican
And they are extremely proud of him.

Obama is not running. trump is. And that's the record we need to look at. It's one of failure at every turn.

Is that why minorities are supporting him and will reelect him to a 2nd term, dipshit?

Okay, all you Trump supporters, please sit this one out. You have 500 other threads where you can scream "They are all communists!!!"

In no particular order.

Bernie Sanders - Sanders is in a strong position because he has dedicated followers. This helps a lot in a primary battle. He's leading a movement, everyone else is just running a campaign.

His weakness- he's a lot further to the left than any Democrat since McGovern. If Trump weren't the alternative, even I'd consider voting Republican. Also, his age, he's pushing 80!

Peter Buttigeig - He's young, he's dynamic. He's the only veteran in the group. (Seriously, both parties, we've just been through a 19 year war and you can't find any vets to run?) The downside. He's gay, and I'm not sure the country is ready for a gay president yet. Right now, he's benefiting from being an alternative to Bernie and Biden. But he's running fifth nationally, and you have to wonder if this is just another case of placing too much emphasis on NH and IA.

Joe Biden - He's pretty much in freefall right now. He could still pull a rally at South Carolina. Let's not forget, Bill Clinton lost both IA and NH, and still turned it around. His big strength remains that there's still a lot of good will for him in the African American community for being Obama's wingman for 8 years.

Liz Warren - Probably turned out to be too smart for the room. She had lots of good ideas, and got bogged down into arguments about her Native American heritage and whether or not Bernie said a woman couldn't
run. (Ignoring Bernie's decades of support for female candidates.)

Amy Klochabar - this is a case of someone running for Vice President. She knows she's not going to be the nominee, we know it.. She's trying to place strong enough where someone will pick her up because she's a woman from the midwest.

Mike Bloomberg - Bloomberg's big strength is that he has nearly an infinite amount of money to run. He has strong progressive creds, but also strong cred as someone who can work in a bi-partisan manner. If it comes down to him and Bernie, it would be ironic if the the top two contenders for the Democratic Nomination aren't actually Democrats.

His weaknesses - the current mood in the Democratic party is anti-plutocratic, and his stances on gun control wouldn't play well in the red states.

Tom Steyer - Um, yeah, I guess he's still in this.

Tulsi Gabbard - The Kremlin needs to ask for it's money back.
Progressive Era ended in 1920. Get an education. Stop calling yourselves "progressives." Call yourselves "Eugene V. Debs Socialist" because that's what you are.
The Progressive Era (1890 - 1920)

100% correct, they aren’t “progressives”.

They are a modern iteration of the Bolsheviks.

Yes we know you love Hillary and believe every word she says.

Joe you really disappoint me. I thought you were smarter.

I never was thrilled with Hillary. If the GOP had nominated someone other than Trump, I probably would have seriously considered them.

My main problem with Hillary is that she lies about stupid little things. Like when she claimed that a Marine Corps recruiter turned her down, or that she was named after a Mountain Climber who didn't become famous until six years after she was born. These are just dumb things, don't know why she does them.

Again, minor compared to Trump, who has told 14,000 documented lies at last count.

Minorities aren't supporting trump.

You've brought yourselves down in the sewer, thanks to your own hatred of Donald Trump, and the fact that he beat Hillary.

Don't blame us. If your life is such a "sewer", then change it.

You are fantasizing buddy.

The poll provides a bleak assessment of how the nation views Trump on race issues as he runs for a second term

NEW YORK — Large majorities of black and Latino Americans think Donald Trump’s actions as president have made things worse for people like them, and about two-thirds of Americans overall disapprove of how he’s handling race relations, according to a new poll conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

About half of all Americans think Trump’s actions have been bad for African Americans, Muslims and women, and slightly more than half say they’ve been bad for Hispanics.

But the poll shows few black Americans think that’s true. Just 4% say they think Trump’s actions have been good for African Americans in general, while 81% think he’s made things worse. Similar shares of black Americans think Trump has been bad for Hispanics, Muslims and women.
