Karen Upset That Son Comes Home With Haircut

Is the school really responsible for not letting him out of their sight for 3-4 seconds?
Let me preface this with my opinion that one-on-one aides is over the top in public schools. That being said, they are being provided. That aide's only job is observing and caring for that ONE student. The school failed to provide what was mandated. I think that it is much ado about nothing in this case, but what would have happened had the child been violent and harmed another student?

Fired?

Are you serious?

Do you have children?

I know seriously as children cut their own hair a lot.

I totally get what you're saying and I would think that that would be a MUCH bigger deal if that were the case.

What I wondered was why kids like this were even given sharp scissors in the first place.
Then, what are the odds that the teacher tells the kids not to cut their hair with them, then this kid, with his hair tied back, runs out of sight for 5 seconds and does!?

Very strange, but it'll grow back.

My philosophy is did they start it or did they finish it?

My mother would never blow up a school. She was raised by my grandparents who taught her that killing was wrong. I was eight at the time and I found it ridiculous at the time. I was living in the Upstate of South Carolina at the time. And that principal was the second dumbest of the four principals that I had before I went to online school. The dumbest was my first middle school principal. That principal said I was intentionally kicking a teacher when I was testing my reflexes. It was an accident as I was sitting down. Then when I had allergies the principal allowed teachers to try to take tissues out of my hand when my nose was runny. Another time I was burping in class when I had heartburn, the principal kicked me out of class for "disrupting class" Yet another incident the principal had a police officer escort me to the bathroom because I was "making shooting threats" for gesturing a finger gun at the teacher as a joke. My family DIDN'T have ANY guns. Plus I wasn't a violent person. And what is worse is that the principle told the cop to not allow me to use the bathroom when I was on the brink of pissing my pants.

Killing somebody and murdering somebody aren't exactly the same thing, but let's not get off topic.

I'm only surprised and disappointed that a child's haircut made the evening news.
Does not bode well for this country or the media that this was the biggest thing they had to report.

Well, it could have been worse.
