Keystone takes the next step

Canadian oil
Saudi refined
50 UNION jobs after the pipeline is complete. Maybe Americans, maybe Canadians.

yeah, that really helps Americans

It's amazing to me that so many don't understand the bottom line here.

America doesn't produce enough of her own oil. Therefore you have to import it.

Canada is your number one supplier. The crude has to be shipped to your refineries.

It should be a no freaking brainer that it's going to get to your refineries by pipeline, rail or truck.

All the Keystone is simply put is a transportation device to get crude from point A to point B.

The arguments against the last leg of the Keystone are utter bullshit. This crude is coming to your refineries. Pick your poison on how you want it freaking delivered.

I don't see anything in it for us. I don't think it is the end of the environment as we know it either.

It's just a fairly mundane project that has been politicized to the point of lunacy.

Your oil producers and your refinery owners would beg to differ with you.

You see Canada is your number one supplier of oil. It's coming to your refineries whether it is by pipeline, rail or transport truck.

There is already a Keystone I and II and III's southern leg from Cushing Oklahoma to Port Arthur Texas that are completed. A lateral Keystone is scheduled to be completed this year to Houston.

Keystone is simply a delivery system for crude from Alberta and from your own producers. This is much to do about nothing.

The protests are total and utter bullshit.

But make no mistake about it. Your oil producers in the Bakken in North Dakota are desperate for this mode of getting their crude to refineries on the Gulf. And because of the southern leg of the Keystone III it has reduced the pressure on Cushing.

why would American oil producers laud their competition ? So they can wait in line at the refineries?

speaking of refinery ... are you refering to the 10 $ billion dollar refinery Saudi built in Texas City ... then sure Saudi wants our money and Canadian oil.

You don't produce enough oil to run your fucking country. The demand outweighs your current production capabilities.

It's really that simple.

Here ya go sparky.

Are you going to stop importing oil? You aren't producing enough.

And only a true left wing loon would believe that construction jobs aren't worthy because they are only "temporary".

Except that none of products produced from this sludge is going to wind up in the U.S.

Oooops ........

Nothing in it for us.
But it's not the end of the world either - just another highly politicized oil company subsidy.

huh? our reserves and production are at record levels. America doesn't need Canada. Keystone will not lower the price of refined products. Push comes to shove, America can and will buy our oil on the global market at global prices without Canada. The oil relationship between Canada and America has bigger political strings than it does anything else.

there where we get our oil and how much we get .. Canada is sucking Mexican butt.

Bullshit. You've been importing it for years now. And you need and use more than your oil companies export.

Canada has been your number one supplier for over a decade. Yes, that sludge which by the way is only slightly heavier than what you import from Venezuela and there are oil fields in California that have heavier crude than the oil sands.

Stop listening to lies. And how would you like to back up the claim that this completion and yes it is a completion of the Keystone projects is an oil company subsidy? I can't wait. :)

You should wrap your brain around this simple fact. America needs and wants Canadian crude. And it's not going to stop coming if Obama just vetoes the last northern leg of the project.

Too bad. So sad. It's coming by pipeline, rail and truck.

How embarrassed do you want to be today? Yes your production are at record levels but not good enough for your usage.

Push comes to shove that you'd rather buy oil on the global than buy from Canada?

How are you going to pull that off Siete? Do tell.

And you are trying to say that your oil relationship is only political? Fool. We are your number one energy supplier. Period full stop.

Your government reporting to you.

October 2014 Import Highlights
Monthly data on the origins of crude oil imports in October 2014 show that one country, Canada, exported more than one million barrels per day to the United States (see table below).

The top five exporting countries accounted for 78% of United States crude oil imports in October while the top ten sources accounted for approximately 95% of all U.S. crude oil imports.

The top five sources of U.S. crude oil imports for October were Canada (3,050 thousand barrels per day), Saudi Arabia (826 thousand barrels per day), Mexico (734 thousand barrels per day), Venezuela (627 thousand barrels per day), and Colombia (325 thousand barrels per day).

The remaining top ten sources, in order, were Kuwait (304 thousand barrels per day), Brazil (254 thousand barrels per day), Iraq (243 thousand barrels per day), Ecuador (242 thousand barrels per day), and Angola (142 thousand barrels per day).

Total crude oil imports averaged 7,130 thousand barrels per day in October, which was a decrease of 378 thousand barrels per day from imports during September 2014.

The Senate has passed the House's Pipeline bill with 10 Democrats voting in favor.
Yet Obama still threatens Veto
this pipeline is so evil. We have already done untold and permanent damage with all the fracking both poisoning the water table and destabilizing the outer crust we sit on. With no regard for anything but the few getting rich off this stupid fossil fuel

Good heavens. Of course some will be exported but the bulk is for domestic use.

And the "sludge" is coming no matter what. Have you ever seen the Keystone routes? Or the Kinder Morgan routes? Or the Enbridge routes?

All pipelines carrying "sludge" to your refineries. As it has for years on end.

Oh and the Northern leg will pick up your oil from Montana and North Dakota and the southern leg already picks up crude from your domestic production.

Your oil producers have to get their crude to market as well. The pipelines are just one method of transport.

Oh sweet Lord. If you want to change over and only purchase from every other country on the planet EXCEPT Canada well you just march your little ass over to all the oil companies and order them to do so.

Now you are really coming off like a left wing crazy.

Hey. Here's an idea. Lobby all of New England and tell them to screw off with depending on Canada.

Yeah yeah you tell them Siete. Let em have it and tell them to only work with Venezuela and Mexico. Yeah yeah that's the ticket!!!!!!!!!!

They aren't exporting crude oil - that's why the need the pipeline - to get it to the refineries. They are planning to export aviation fuel from this sludge after they refine it.

Don't blame me - it's the Canadian oil company that said it. None for sale in the U.S.
Sorry.
