Koch: I'm Fighting to Restore a Free Society

Hmmmm.... Media Matters for America... where have I heard that name before? Oh yea! That's the propaganda tool that George Sorros contributes heavily to. LOL!!! What is really ironic of course is that Soros often compared Bush Jr. to Adolf Hitler. I'm hoping he meant that in a negative way.

i can see why you'd like the kochs... lack of intellect, low information right-wingers think anything that shows the lie to what they say is propaganda.

i think you SHOULD support oligarchy... that way the billionaires buy your government and you pretend the problem is anyone to the left of atilla the hun.

that's sad.... but true.

damn, they're stupid

He built cracking plants, moron. You don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. In those days, American journalists were telling the American public that the Soviet Union was a paradise, so why would any liberal turd object to an American doing business with them?

It is laughable when people who never stood on a street corner intersection hollding Taxed Enough Already signs with their neighbors tries to tell me how the TEA party started and who influenced me.

Charles Koch: I'm Fighting to Restore a Free Society - WSJ.com

I have devoted most of my life to understanding the principles that enable people to improve their lives. It is those principles—the principles of a free society—that have shaped my life, my family, our company and America itself.

Unfortunately, the fundamental concepts of dignity, respect, equality before the law and personal freedom are under attack by the nation's own government. That's why, if we want to restore a free society and create greater well-being and opportunity for all Americans, we have no choice but to fight for those principles. I have been doing so for more than 50 years, primarily through educational efforts. It was only in the past decade that I realized the need to also engage in the political process.

It's quite obvious to me why the bed wetters are so totally consumed with hatred for this man. I enjoyed the piece, and encourage anyone "sitting on the fence" regarding the Kock Bro's agenda to read it and make up your own mind.

This obviously excludes bed wetters, because they're programmed to reject information without thinking. Yet I'm sure we'll see plenty of their smarmy psuedointellectual parroting of "facts" found only on a Media Matters website, as opposed to reality.

don't be so hard on yourself. you and the other brainwashed koch-ies are just funny.... keep believing what they tell you and keep voting against your own self-interest.

:cuckoo:

You wail over these two and call them, Koch-ies
and you call others, brainwashed?
man oh man

Hey Pete, what did you expect the guy to say? That he is EVERY evil thing that people say he is? Not likely. But actions do speak louder than words.

Watch what he does. Not what he says.

What "evil" things has he done, provide funding for PBS programs?

Surely to fucking goodness you don't watch PBS? That liberal bastion of common sense and in depth reporting like Frontline. Fuck that. Those liberal do gooders don't even like Republicans. They only have them on the air to laugh and make fun of them.

I don't know why the David Koch has his name on PBS as a sponsor of programs.
That is just crazy.

Every Repub knows that George Soros funds PBS. If I were you, I wouldn't watch anymore.
You might learn something you don't want to know.

What's "twisted?" Do you not support plutocrats? Or are you not a peasant? Or do you not know what a plutocracy is? Either way, the sign speaks the truth. A certain number of people have put rich rich rich people on a pedestal and seem to worship them in some way.

Why they do that I do not know.

Daddy Koch made his money by fracking the oil fields of the USSR. Still think the Koches love the USA or money???

They love the USA.
Daddy Koch working in the USSR learned what Communism was all about and hated it.
He easily recognized what Dem's were doing here in our country because of that exposure and stared to fight against it.
With love like that you get a Restraining Order.

That is exactly what communists and socialist do to the people who speak out against their own political agendas.
They shut them up.
The left refuse to see that their political ideology is the same as communists and socialists. It's just being implemented differently, but it is still the same political ideology.
New immigrants who fled from those types of governments like Russia and Cuba have been saying this ever since the 1930's .
Talk to any Cuban who fled from Castro's big government control in the 50's and 60's.
Talk to any new immigrant from any of the big government controllers and they all say the same thing. That the American political ideology of the left is no different than any of large governments from other countries.
Our government is taxing, regulating and micro managing us into the poor house, just like Russia and Cuba has done.
We have been losing all of our Constitutional rights slowly over the last 100 years and no one who thinks that government is the answer to everything seems to be able to see it.
A vast majority of Americans have woken up and are fed up with our big out of control Government. We are sick and tired of our Constitutional rights being trampled on and just out right ignored, especially from our last 2 Presidents.

.

Amazing how both parties can point the finger at the other about how money corrupts politics.

Are there no mirrors in your homes?

Holy crap. Amazing.

.

Ever consider running for Pope? You have the pontificating down pat.

"It was only in the past decade that I realized the need to also engage in the political process", if true would suggest that Koch would have a very transparent engagement with the "political process". I think the evidence - holding 'meetings' closed to the public and the press, wherein two members of the U.S. Supreme Court are wined and dines along with other conservative luminaries raises concern not for bed betters, but for all reasonable citizens.

See which members of the Supreme Court are members of the Federalist Society and what this organization hopes to accomplish, here:

No mirrors then, right?

Was I wrong?

Clean your OWN house.

Oh wait, that would take too much effort.

Soros can spend 80 million to push legalizing pot but that's not a problem for the left. Go figure.

I can't "figure" since no link exists in your post that Mr. Soros spent $80 million on the legalization of Marijuana. That said, if in fact he did, it would be legal, as it is legal but for the Koch Brothers to have two members of the US Supreme Court at a private getaway wherein the agenda and all discussed is closed to the press.

Didn't believe me eh? And when did it become illegal to have the Supremes over for a BBQ? And how do you know what was discussed if it was closed to the press?

Billionaire George Soros turns cash into legalized marijuana - Washington Times
Billionaire philanthropist George Soros hopes the U.S. goes to pot, and he is using his money to drive it there.

With a cadre of like-minded, wealthy donors, Mr. Soros is dominating the pro-legalization side of the marijuana debate by funding grass-roots initiatives that begin in New York City and end up affecting local politics elsewhere.

Through a network of nonprofit groups, Mr. Soros has spent at least $80 million on the legalization effort since 1994, when he diverted a portion of his foundation’s funds to organizations exploring alternative drug policies, according to tax filings.

In your twisted liberal mind.

No, it is reinforced every day by the responses from you right wing parrots on this board, by teabaggers in Washington, propagandists on faux news, divisive talking heads like Rush Limbaugh and by the long history of the cancer called 'conservatism'.

And by asking yourself a simple question...

When you understand what conservatism is, every argument they make leads to the same end.

Q: What is conservatism?
A: Conservatism is the domination of society by an aristocracy.

When you understand this and view their words, ask the question; will this lead to some form of an aristocracy?

The answer is always YES...

Liberalism is trust of the people, tempered by prudence; conservatism, distrust of people, tempered by fear.
William E. Gladstone

NO ONE should be in prison or be arrested for using marijuana...

Bravo Mr. Soros...!!!
