LeVar Burton wants you to read banned books

I don't believe I mentioned either political party.
I didn't either. But when you talk about banned books like To Kill A Mockingbird, Little House on the Prairie, Huckleberry Finn, you are talking about the left. Many classics have been rewritten to to conform to woke.

So it is all or nothing? I am either in favor of porn in school libraries or I am in favor of banning ANY book for ANY reason? Bullshit.
if you oppose the book bans, that puts all the porn back.

You want the porn back.

Americans know why.

And, at the time, I argued as vehemently as I could against it. I worked to fight a ban in my home town (many years ago). A long evangelical church wanted 'Of Mice and Men' by John Steinbeck removed from the local high school because the term "goddamn" was in it 53 times.

But you support "some" books being banned? Right?

You don't want all those books parents are upset about being put back?

Admittedly, my color vision isn't perfect. In fact, I am Red/Green colorblind. It can suck, but you learn to get along. And now I feel better because at least I am not seeing the world in Black & White.

No, me opposing bans of some books does NOT mean I want porn in schools. That is simply a lie. Americans know and dislike you and your ilk.

As I have said over and over, I support removing pornography from school libraries.

And no, I do not support removal of all books that any parent gets upset about.

For the last time, it is not an all or nothing deal. You want to equate pornographic images of children having sex with adults, to books that have too many "bad words" in them.

Each book should be judged on a case by case basis.

I am America and it's ilk.

Without the bans, the porn is there.

You rather have that.

Americans know why.

So ban them all or none of them? That is laughably stupid.

Name one reason why a school district couldn't ban a book that contains pornography unless it bans every book any parent has ever complained about.

Yes, many Americans know why I am against many of the book bans. And most support me.

If you had 1 choice...

No bans like before, or the current bans like now, what would you choose? Just curious...

School libraries have to be monitored much more strictly than public libraries. Taking Of Mice and Men out of the school library isn't really banning it. The book is readily available.

I was quite young when my mother decided my education required classic porn. Her reasons are still unclear to me. I read Fanny Hill, Candy, Lolita, Lady Chatterly's Lover and others written in Old English. I believe I was 9. We had absolutely no problem with Mom checking those books out of the library.

I choose to have a public and open method of determining which, if any, books need be removed from school libraries for violating sexual mores of kids.

You are trying to get In to the weeds and muddy the water to protect pedophiles.

You rather there be no bans.

If democrats determine what books are in schools, all kinds of pedo shit will be there.

A public library is a great resource. But many kids never see the inside of one.

How about we just say "school book bannings"?

Still trying to talk about me rather than the topic. Sad.

No, I am not trying to get into the weeds. But it is not an all or nothing game. Each book can, and should, be judged on it's own. Putting Anna Karenina back in a school library does not mean there will be books full of pictures of children having sex with adults put back as well.

Why is that so hard for you to understand?

Who is the judge?

You admit there is a need for bans

The people that approve the porn.

MTG is RIGHT!

The district school board is who has been banning the books. There is no statewide ban. But individual school districts can ban books from the school libraries, because of a new law.

So every single piece of pornography that has been banned from school libraries was banned by that district's school board.
