Liberals aren't for attacking Iran....

I think what we need to do is organize a volunteer brigade of NeoCons and Zionists led by Bill Kristol to go over and take on the Mullahs. No doubt, those Iranians are just waiting to be liberated.

Sounds a lot more effective than just getting some poor kids to go over and do it in hopes of a college education.

So let's have it, NeoCons. Colonel Kristol is waiting to lead you.

No need to do that. Their population is just waiting for the old mullahs to die off. Then they'll exile their ridiculous President and end the theocracy that has ran that country since 1979.

70% of their population is under 30 and when you see videos of underground parties in that country, you see their kids are no different than us when we were in our 20's.

Here's the real Iran!

Too bad Iran isn't ran by the people.

Same could be said of the United States

Let be very clear.

The extremism of Iran is a gift to the Republican Party. It gives them another context to intervene in the region for the purpose of stabilizing it on behalf of our economic interests in the region. It also allows them to campaign and govern under the rubric of National Security. As they decimate the middle class with anti-labor (pro capital) policies, they need the leverage to scare people into voting booth. They want scared sheeple who salute George Bush and lack the informational resources to question the jerry-rigged intelligence that created the war.

Secondly, they need idiot voters who fall for the Reagan Gimmick: in the front of the house Ol' Ronnie preached against terrorism. In the back of the house he supplies weapons to Iran, the mujahideen and the Contras.

The sad part is that the GOP has locked a generation of under-educated Americans into a hermetically sealed bubble. Ironically, They are total Leninists. They lie to well-meaning people in order to achieve political and economic goals that serve a small sliver of special interests.

It absolutely could. It'd be very misleading since there are still more checks and balances here.

Republicans are decimating the middle class how? By pursuing Democrat policies? Stop drinking the kool aid.

Actually, the Iran nuke problem will have to be solved within a year, so Republicans will probably be bitching at Obama for any involvement and they certainly would bitch if he didn't do something.

Anything pertaining to war is ridiculous to you.
No, anything pertaining to an "illegal war of aggression", I am against. You do not go to war because that's what you "choose" to do. You go to war because you have to. Because there is no other choice. As citizens, we owe that much to our troops. Putting them in harms way over a bunch of bullshit lies, is not patriotism. And invading country's in violation of international law, is not Americanism. We are a country based on the rule of law. That's who we are. That's what makes us American's.

When you start invading country's for any reason other than self defense, you're being more like the German's of WWII.

I guess we should have let Bin Laden live cozy in Afghanistan after 9/11, right? Bin Laden wasn't going to live in an area of the world where the government exercised it's authority over the area.
Have you ever heard of the word "extradition"?

Afghanistan did not attack us. What about all the innocent civilians that have died as a result of us going after one man? They didn't commit any crime. Why were they punished?

You seem to forget Bin Laden started this nonsense against America because of his extreme views. He believed he could take on Iraq and didn't want Americans to push the Iraqis out of Kuwait. He was offended when the Saudis turned him down.
Things just don't happen in a vacuum. You're refusing to deal with that part of our foreign policy that is enabling the hatred people have towards this country.

Until you can prove there is a problem, there is nothing to solve.

I already told you the smoke will prove there isn't a problem anymore. It's a shame an area of the Earth has to be destroyed and people can't be reasonable. Allowing Iran to go nuke isn't reasonable. We should be working to get rid of nuclear weapons in this world and not allowing a whole new round of nuclear proliferation to get started.

Acting on something that doesn't exist is insanity.

The Iranian nuclear program exists and they aren't trying to make fuel.

I've been around your kind enough to know that I can respect someone who doesn't believe in war, but I don't respect people who always side with the enemies of the United States. That isn't the same as being against war.

Only an idiot believes nukes are going away. In America, we have a slew of them. That being said, there's nothing that says we have to put up with Iran having nukes.

Where's your proof of that?

People who have done nothing to you, are not enemies.

And attacking someone who has not attacked you first, is a war crime.

Only an idiot believes nukes haven't went away. South Africa got rid of it's nukes and nukes were reduced in the US and USSR and they are still working to get rid of nuclear weapons. There is the potential to reverse the process and have a nuclear free Europe. That will never happen if the Middle East goes nuclear. I see the potential to reduce nuclear weapons so that only three nations have them in the future and keep those numbers limited.

People like Loinboy are standing on the wrong side of history. This nonsense that a sovereign nation has the right to do whatever it wants doesn't cut it on a small planet. Shit like that is what causes the world's drug problems and allows genocide.

You guys have absolutely no proof Iran is purseing a nuclear warhead sometime in the future that they can sometime in the future put on a missile. Not even the US military.

?Iran Can?t Covertly Produce Atomic Bomb? ? US Intelligence Chief Eurasia Review | Eurasia Review

Clapper further said “we do not know if Iran will eventually decide to build nuclear weapons.”

There are records of the amount of centrifuges Iran has purchased and there are records of the amount of fuels needed for Iranian reactors. Iran doesn't have that many nuclear reactors, so enriching fuel, instead of buying it, doesn't make economic sense. If Iran was just trying to enrich fuel for commercial nuclear reactors, they could do that in the open with inspection and don't have to bury it underground.

You're an idiot if you can't see the obvious.

The present commercial nuclear reactors are designed around nuclear proliferation. They aren't designed to provide safe electricity.

Whatever you keep blabbering about. The US military has no evidence that Iran is working towards a bomb or a delivery program. Yet again, FAIL. The man who has Boooosh in his avatar. Ha Ha Ha.

What does the US military have to do with gathering intelligence? This isn't WWII, fool!
