For years, the left has been attacking the GOP over religion. Mitt Romney's religion has been the focus of an HBO series meant to turn off voters. But now that Trump is being critical of far right churches like Ben Carson's, they have no problem being hypocritical and criticizing his statements.

The media is full of crap on this. They said that the Mormon church is a cult....and somebody like that shouldn't be president. But then they turn around and criticise Ben Carson for saying he thinks a Muslim shouldn't be America's president. Then they do a flip and make fun of Trump when he clearly stated his religion is middle of the road compared to Carson's.

To be honest, the media is all over the place on this issue. It all depends on which political party you belong to. Their reactions aren't monolithic....they're in constant flux, depending on which angle they want to push at that instant.

Let's face it folks. If you want to hear a line of bs, just turn on the news. Their credibility is totally shot. Let the Democrats be led by the nose. Most of the problems in this country would literally disappear if we closed down every news organization perminantly. The biggest fight we'd have is from liberals that need their daily dose of Bovine Scatology to survive another day living in this liberal utopia they're creating. If not, doubts will begin to creep into their fragile ideological beliefs, as evidenced by safe-zones on college campuses, a liberal escape from microagression.

Look all over the site today.

I've counted two similar attacks this morning against Ben Carson by liberals.....but that's fine.

Trump can't bring it up cuz he's a Republican.

Carson gets insulted because he's a moron. In large part, his religion is the basis for him being such a moron. If he wasn't such a moron, his religion wouldn't be an issue.

Mud, however, seems to think being a moron is fine, and that any religious person gets a free pass on being a moron just because they're religious. It's that PC thing which is his hallmark. Certain topics are taboo, even if true, because they offend his pwecious feewings.

Tell you what, Mud. If everyone here just agrees that you really are the most pathetic victim to ever walk the planet, will you stop trying to constantly prove it?

We get liberals attacking religion, and we get the left attacking Romney over religion.

There are so many liberal churches and synagogues out there it is astounding Muddthwithle is allowed computer access to post such nonsense as she does.

The left may have attacked Romney over religion. What would be wrong with that?
Should any discussion of religion out of bounds in politics?

Ever wonder why few people pay attention to the OP?

Listening to NPR a few minutes ago......Diane Reem show.

Guest starts ragging Trump for not knowing his favorite Bible passage.

I thought that was the point Trump was making. ....that he's not a classic Bible-Thumper.

You can't win with these peolle. Everything is just an opportunity to help their untrustworthy candidate (Hillary) win the white house.

See? The OP is rally about defending Donald Trump attacking a man's religious faith, by saying "look, others do it too"

IF Trump wanted to challenge Carson over religion that is another thing. What would be wrong with that? But to defend Trump attacking another man's religious faith -- well that would be like defending Trump call the President a fake Christian or a Muslim

Trump was never religious until he decided he could dupe some votes from rube evangelicals.

Which is actually a good thing. If he somehow, through some crazy twist of fate wins the White House, at least we'll have a President who doesn't think God is talking to him and acts on it.

Damn. You are stupid. Trump claims that the bible is his favorite book. Thus....he was asked about his favorite passage. He failed to identify one.

Do you get that he lied about his favorite book?

Speaking of victims....isn't that why you supported Obama, and now support Hillary?

What a hypocrite!

Jesus fucking Christ, you're a pathetic, ignorant, a-hole!!!!!

Mud wants to sling mud but not get it return.

That has always been his issue. He is the one who wants a nice, quiet hard right conservative site.

SDA isn't far-right.

Examples of far-right Christian denominations would be those KKK ones. A buncha vegatarians is hardly even rightwing at all. :)

Let's analyze Muddy's logic (or whatever he calls it)

If HBO produces a popular serious about a small sub-sect of LDS church that still practices polygamy THAT MEANS the entire media is not allowed to criticize Trump for blowing the evangelical dog whistler with regard to Carson's church.

I challenge anyone to connect those dots.

Also, Muddy things HBO produced a series years before the the 2012 elections in order to sabotage Romney....

Wow!

You think that someone who is stupid enough to believe the Earth is only 6,000 years old is qualified for President?
But when Obama said he was a christian you over look that.

If you have a problem with media representations of anything, you should address that at the source. Whining on a message board accomplishes nothing.

As for Americans exercising their First Amendment right to comment on religion, it's a pity that offends you, but it also shows a narrow POV suggesting that if any of the theocrats running for office (Carson is not the only one) had their way, the First might be under attack.

Well, after they put all the gays and women in FEMA camps.

My beef with online religionists (the Christians I know IRL don't behave this way) is that so many of them post the way you do. Matthew 22:40 not working out for ya, huh?
