That is inevitable. The timeline for this is going walk backward as cases from January and February are studied more closely and cause of death is more precisely narrowed down. For example, the first deaths from this virus occurred weeks before the first officially reported death.

well this is a perception issue with those who look at the numbers. what is one to do about it I do not understand how people are now looking at estimates as if they are facts. They are estimates and unaccurate by nature. There was a time when the typical person undertood estimation and the strength of such an estimation. We are very early on in this pandimic thing and there is no one left from the last one to tell us exactly what happened. We are a long way from understanding the true numbers of this epidimic and people need to realize this. We hold our leaders responsible for this shit and require them to estimate what is going on . If any one knows anything about statistics they are extremely unrealiable early on in the process. Also peaple need to understand how labs ork it can some times take months to get results. If a person wants to actually know what is going on they must realize that we just do not know right now and will not for a while. Sit back and take these estimates as a guess it is what they are. This how ever how the scientific process works we make predictive models and then wait to see which one was the closest and then adjust for the news ones.

See, when a coroner says he didn't get any bodies and they claim 10, that means it is fictitious, same with the nurse who left with one count and sees another on TV, it becomes fictitious. you're not following the bouncing dead people.

Actually, the latest trend (started by NY) is to count deaths of people they SUSPECT had Covid 19 (with NO TEST RESULTS)...

Since medical personnel test you based on suspicion that you have Covid 19, and 80-85% of the tests come back NEGATIVE, it's obvious that thousands of deaths are being attributed to Covid 19 when the individuals didn't even have the disease!!!

I think we need some thing different because the average person does not know that these are estimations being thrown around. If we require the scientists to explain the strength in thier data estimates people will not be walking around vewing estimates as facts. Do you not think people would understand what is going on better if the scientists explained how early on we are and how much we realy do not know or is the public to big of babies to deal with it? I feel we can deal with it and I would like to be deciding my own risks and planning how to mitigate them while knowing how good the estimations are. We could avoid a lot of arguing and make better plans if we realy understood what is known. Right now people seem to be from the sky is falling to no problem here, we should be some where in between.

ya, if you belive crime shows that results come back that quick. They do not come back very quick. How many coroners do you have in your county. I can not seem to find a stat on how many man hours are in a typical autopsy but lets just say we had a 100 deaths in your county in a week how many man hours would thaqt be and how many labs would have to be sent out to determine the exact cause of death. I have heard of law suites where it tooks six months in some cases to determine a single cause of death. The stats we are seeing at this point are based on preliminary reports.
