Macy’s Closing 68 Stores, cutting 10,000 Jobs. Thanks Trump

Trump wanted to own the economy when good news popped up here and there,

so fuck you Trump, you job killer, you got your wish.

You can blame or credit anybody you desire provided you show how their participation helped in the end results. If you don't have such evidence, you can't blame or credit anybody just because they happened to be there.

Target and Macys both going to shit ever since they came out in support of gay perverted sex and their war on Christmas and our military. Serves these assholes right.

So I guess the moral of the story is that Trump supporters will give him credit for positive things but no blame for negative outcomes while Obama gets only the blame and none of the credit.

Pretty much the case?

It's too bad our resident umpire isn't here to make his famous "bullshit call"....gee; wonder why?????

:dunno:

You can blame the black thugs who hang around the malls scaring the decent people away. Grandma can sit at home and order her stuff without fear of being shot.

I guess if he’s getting credit for everything good that happens in our economy, he should logically get blame for everything bad. Right?

It's Barrys economy that's fucked everything up… fact

According to the Ford CEO of the time, the GM bailout saved the US auto industry because suppliers of components would have went bankrupt thus effecting the entire industry.

"Mulally, Dec. 5, 2008: In particular, the collapse of one or both of our domestic competitors would threaten Ford because we have 80 percent overlap in supplier networks and nearly 25 percent of Ford’s top dealers also own GM and Chrysler franchises"

So Any expansion Ford is making should be credited to Obama. Right? Right. Thanks for clearing that up.

Now move those goalposts.

What we're going to see under a Tump admin is retailer after retailer shutting down stores, laying off staff, and he isn't going to have a damn thing to say about it while he's staring at his "Made in China" ties and "Made in Bangladesh" shirts.

Nobody has, and maybe that's part of the problem.

Maybe if we had a leader that addressed the nation explaining why things like this are happening, it would make people think. Bottom line, we Americans are cheap. We are so focused on saving money that we don't bother to consider the ramifications of our actions. Maybe if Trump encourages people to go back to these stores, encourages people to start buying American again, we could save the jobs that are on the cutting block in the near future and possibly bring back some of the old jobs.

You're confusing cheap with lack of expendable/disposable income.

The American Middle Class Is Losing Ground

Macy's stores are in malls. Rampaging gangs have made malls dangerous. People now order on line.

People order online because they think they are getting a deal.

If you think online prices are cheaper than offline, think again

Then, with so many Americans working more than one job many don't have the time.

I notice Amazon wasn't part of the study.

When you live 45 miles one way from the closest mall, or specialty store, you must figure in time and fuel costs...plus, honest to God, on the stuff I would go to the city to buy, I get the same product, or close enough, on Amazon for at least half price savings.

Since 80% of the population of the US live within 200 miles of water, your analogy fits for only a small percentage of consumers.

Sorry to blow the rest of your diatribe.....what did you do before Amazon et al?

Right. What DumBama did seven years ago has something to do with what's happening today.

And no, if there was no bailout, the companies would have to file for bankruptcy and a court would have determined what they needed to do. They would have survived just fine. Even if they didn't and had to close down, it would have benefited their competitors since people would not stop buying cars just because one company doesn't make them anymore.

But as I stated, if you are to credit somebody with failure or success, you have to provide evidence of their participation for the results:

"Ford CEO Mark Fields said the investment is a "vote of confidence" in the pro-business environment being created by Donald Trump. However, he stressed Ford did not do any sort of special deal with the president-elect."

Not al all. I know all kinds of people that can afford a lot of things, but they shop like everybody else--cheap.

This is really nothing new, it's been going on for decades. Today however we have much more things to buy than years ago. We have our cell phone plans; sometimes costing hundreds of dollars, we have our video games, we have NetFlix, we have the internet, we have satellite and cable television, some families use restaurants as their main staple whereas years ago, dining out was a luxury or perhaps a special event.

Because we buy more things today, you need to stretch the dollar further.

Too damn funny.
What the CEO said positive about Obama's means zilch.
What the CEO said positive about Trump's doing zilch means everything.

This is why you guys get tagged with being racist... that is the only thing it can be at this point.
