Manafort's Home Raided by The FBI

From Reuters:
""""BREAKING NEWS:
FBI raided home of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in July to seize documents: report""""
That's all that's there for now.
Stay tuned to Reuters.com for updates.
Love this "fake" news!

Love this "fake" news!

  • Did the FBI raid Manafort's home? Yes.
  • Prior to today, had it been disclosed that the FBI raided Manafort's home? No.
  • Did the general public know, prior to today, the FBI raided Manafort's home? No.
Given the above fact pattern, the information about the FBI having raided Manafort's home is new information, thus news, and it's not fake news because the FBI did raid Manafort's home.

That's all that's there for now.

Actually, in terms of the raid itself, that's not all that was in Reuters' story.
  • Manafort spokesman Jason Maloni confirmed that the raid had taken place.
  • FBI agents working with special counsel Robert Mueller departed the home with various records.
  • The predawn raid was conducted at Manafort's home in the Washington suburb of Alexandria without advance warning on July 26
former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort

What's inaccurate about the Reuters story is its attestation that Manafort was Trump's campaign manager. Manafort was Trump's campaign chairman. Kellyanne Conway was Trump's campaign manager.

Well, they had to show probable cause to get a warrant.

The thing is, if Manafort has at least a few more working brain cells than Duh Donald, he wouldn't keep anything worth finding in his house. He most likely has a lot of materials stashed in storage spaces under other people's names, not his own.

But hey, it's a nice warning shot over the bow to the other Trumpies shivering in their jammies.

I was going to say exactly this - no way Manafort kept anything at home. He's been waiting for the knocking for a year now.

and the grand jury gets to process the evidence ... ...

D'OOOOOOOH !

Funny how no one has raised Schultz home or Hillary Clinton's home.

Hell we know Clinton committed crimes, and violated court orders to not delete anything from her server. Yet Mueller gets a warrant to search Manafort's home When there has been no crime committed, and no crime listed in any documents the FBI has filed with regards to this investigation.

If then fuy committed a crime, fine, but what was it and why is There an "investigation" at all when no one can cite a single crime that was Committed by anyone?

Lol. Let The Gestapo Style Witch Hunt Continue!

Is anyone surprised the FBI raided the home of Crooked Hillary's former campaign manager?

Oh, wait.

....and found nothing of substance or it would have been leaked by now.

Is a search warrant considered a "raid" when the person cooperates fully? It's interesting that the FBI would execute a search warrant around the time Comey was asked to resign. Was it a power play? The search warrant on Debby Schultz's aid's apartment where evidence was destroyed and scattered around is more like a raid but nobody is talking about it.

WaPo has released some images of a bizarre collection of Russian style Micheal Jackson collectibles at various stages of plastic surgeory leaked by Comey's friend who knows a guy at the NY Times.

You don't understand what you're talking about.
Raids are a way to find evidence to determine if any charges of a crime should be made. Not the reverse.
See United States v. Jared Fogle, for example.

Mueller is looking for anything he can use to pressure Manafort into repeating the story the democrat donors want told.
