The DOJ has a big problem if it decides to bring a federal case. There was already an investigation and they will be required to turn over everything about that prior investigation and what led to it being closed. Ben Kruidbos has turned over the illegally withheld exculpatory evidence to O'Mara (and been fired for it). This isn't a rehash of Rodney King, it's a rehash of Duke Lacrosse. Those men didn't face charges for violating Crystal Magnum's civil rights,

Do people just act on emotion or actually understand the laws. Martin was bigger,martin was wearing a hoody,it was dark and raining, do you think Zimmerman knew or even cared if he was 17 ?

Look, up until the shot was fired Zimmerman was being battered by martin, you can clearly see it in the pictures after the altercation. Zimmerman was being beaten for like 45 seconds to a minute before pulling the gun out and shooting martin. If Zimmerman did not pull the gun would have martin stopped slamming his head against the ground ? no one knows but by law all Zimmerman needed to do was feel his life was threatened and don't you think that is a reasonable assumption by martins actions ?

Hell martin ran if he was really afraid why didn't he keep running home since his home was not far away ? why did he attack Zimmerman ? if Zimmerman was really doing what the prosecution claimed why didn't Zimmerman pull his gun sooner ?

The city did not press charges because they knew there was not enough evidence so through pressure the state did and they lost because they had no evidence. Every witness just about supported Zimmermans story so did the evidence.

The people whining about this case are looking at the age of martin and assuming innocence. Let's say those neighbors came out and helped Zimmerman subdue martin which is what should have happened and could have prevented the boy's death. Would martin have been charged with assault and battery or some other serious crime for what he did to Zimmerman ?
