Michelle Obama - Totally Middle Class/Relates With the "Little People"

There are many minorities who got in on affirmative action, met all the criteria and did well. Like Clarence Thomas. Then there are those who get in on affirmative action and can't meet the criteria, they need the rules bent, like Big Moo and Patrick Chavis.

So some affirmative action good and some bad?

The argument was made that even if someone gets into college under affirmative action they still have to pass the same classes and follow the same rules.

Not all do. Big Moo didn't. She made them change more rules. Clarence Thomas and Dr. Ben Carson did. They passed the classes and followed the rules. Big Moo, the first heifer, did exactly what Patrick Chavis did, ride being black as far as she could. She lost her law license under questionable circumstances because affirmative action only goes so far. The ones who DID pass their classes became a Supreme Court justice and a Chief Neurosurgeon.

I would like to see some proof of your allegations regarding the First Lady, doubt you can present any.

Maybe? Seems the unions had a hard time complying with affirmative action.

"One of the United States' first major applications of affirmative action, the Philadelphia Plan, was enacted by the Nixon administration in 1969. The Revised Philadelphia Plan was controversial for its use of strict quotas and timetables to combat the institutionalized discrimination in the hiring practices of Philadelphia's skilled trade unions."

Michelle is an opportunist. Accepting not one, but two lucrative jobs after her husband became fully engaged with the Chicago infamous political machine. The life of the Obama's dramatically improved by both the sales of his book - and from some mighty lucky jobs and loans that they mysteriously have no record of paying after purchasing land from Tony Rezco.

Jobs for which she did no work, nor was even required to show up, but did result in very lucrative government money. Jobs which disappeared after she left.

Yes 40+ years ago even getting a union job was tough for minorities luckily that has changed.

A man and woman who spent years paying off their student loans and they aren't "middle class"?

Worse, Bush got Affirmative Action when his father pulled strings.

McCain got Affirmative Action when his father pulled strings.

McCain graduated 5th from the bottom out of 899 cadets and Bush had a C- average. Compare that to the Obamas.

Why is it Affirmative Action is only good for rich white people?

And why to USMB right wingers keep attacking Obama's family? What a bunch of creeps.

If you live in a "right to freeload" state its still tough to find work with a union that has any actual power - but it doesn't depend on your race, at least :)

We hope Bono paid because Big Moo is so poor she couldn't afford a 60 million dollar safari to tack onto the 100 million dollar vacation.

They cancelled the safari because they were worried that moochell would be mistaken for a protected species and poached.

Is there any evidence that you've ever whined about a white Presidential family's travel expenses? If Yes, please show it to us.

No president in our history has been as expensive to maintain as the obama clan. There's simply no comparison.

obama will give a speech or two in order to maintain the facade of a state visit, but this is really an obama family vacation. They wanted to tack on a safari, but the extra cost couldn't even be justified by a speech to giraffes on the velde. The obamas are the most expensively maintained family in the world.

Considering the value of the dollar tends to decrease over time, that shouldn't at all be surprising.

There's simply no comparison.

Of course not. To perform a comparison would require you actually do some research and obtain the data that would prove or disprove your claim. That would take work. Its much easier just to assert the fact as true and imply it would be ridiculous to think otherwise.

It is a shame that people like her that get into Yale because of family connections and who lived off of trust funds from wealth gained by their ancestors many many years ago pretend to have a connection to the middle class.

It's a shame that people like her get into prestigious colleges like Princeton because of affirmative action. It's also a shame that Princeton had to bend their thesis rules to allow the affirmative action student to base her thesis on her personal experiences rather than carefully researched issues. Otherwise, she was too stupid and self absorbed to graduate.

That's what's a shame.

You do know even if she got in because of affirmative action she would still have to pass the classes? But we can read between the lines of what people who have no problem with well off legacies getting spots in such prestigious SCHOOLS but have a problem with minorities getting in supposedly due to affirmative action are really angry about.

How did Bush get into Harvard graduate school with a C average?
