Mike Barnicle had an interesting idea for Dem candidate to run as a TICKET

The only democrat I would even consider voting for is Tulsi Gabbard
Read more about her here: Meet Tulsi Gabbard, Future President of the United States

Tulsi's awesome - AND easy on the eyes. LOVED the way she stood up to Little Debbie Wasserman.

Good Libertarian streak as well as being a decorated veteran.

I think she has issues with liberals and the DNC leadership. I don't see a path for her.
She endorsed and campaigned for Bernie Sanders. She LOVES liberals and socialists.

She's a very mixed bag and I don't think moderates or liberals are really going to be that jazzed about her once they find out more about.

From Desperado's link:

She helped to secure funding for infrastructure improvements on the Ewa Plains and served as a constant advocate for the environment, proposing additional tax credits for those who use wind and solar in addition to a variety of other legislation.

<snip>

Tulsi has also served as a Vice-Chair at the Democratic National Committee.
(G5000 note: You don't climb to the top of the DNC by not being a total liberal).

<snip>

Several months later, during the heat of the Democratic Primary, Tulsi resigned from her position as Vice-Chair to endorse Bernie Sanders.
(G5000 note: You don't endorse a socialist unless you love socialism)

<snip>

Tulsi campaigned very strongly for Senator Sanders
(G5000 note: You don't campaign "very strongly" for a socialist unless you love socialism)

Bernie is not a Socialist in terms of Commie-style socialist, but his views on free education and health care for all are WAY too crazy for even me.
She "campaigned strongly" for the socialist, and advocates single payer healthcare. It is laughable to call her libertarian.

TN has free education for all ages over 18. No rise in taxes. No redistribution. Nothing. We use money from the lottery.
There are ways to do awesome things without fucking over everyone else. Our politicians dont spend time to THINK. They are too busy molesting their secretaries and sending us the bill.

She strikes me as someone whose every decision is based on optics for her future ambitions. She served in Iraq because she knew it would look good on her political resume.

That's the same impression I have of her, opportunist.

During her 2012 House campaign, she ran ads complaining about “endless war.” She has called for pulling out of Afghanistan, the longest war in US history, suggesting that the government invest the money instead into “rebuilding our own nation through long-term infrastructure projects.” She’s opposed US intervention in Syria since 2013, air strikes in Iraq, and arms sales to Saudi Arabia. She backed Sanders in the Democratic primary because of Clinton’s record of supporting “interventionist regime change wars.”

That stance alone will get my vote.

The pseuedocon propaganda machine wants to know who the 2020 Democratic candidate is so they can start manufacturing bullshit about him/her.

"He tosses puppies into rush hour traffic, bleev me!"

She sounds like a Green. Definitely not Libertarian, although people often confuse the two for some reason.

We have at least one person on this forum who thinks he's a Libertarian but who is actually a Green and doesn't know it.

Of course not. But i cant vote for anyone that is pro-illegal (or however you would want to call it) Other things can throw me off too but not like immigration.
If you are for illegals, you will never have my support.
Trump spoke words i liked on immigration but i damn sure didnt vote for that clown. Same with many others.
Does that make sense?

How is the support of those who've been here since they were under the age of 16 impacting you - specifically?

As for deporting 11 million people? Too costly. Bring all our troops home and have them guard our borders and more importantly??

PORTS - Where most of the heroin, opioids and such come through.

Trump; his military budget, his interventionism and his stupid wall SUCK.

As for deporting 11 million people? Too costly.

Cheaper than keeping them.

Green, Libertarian or Republican, who cares'
I just vote for who has mostly the same ideas I do,
Im only a registered Republican so I could vote for Ron Paul in the Florida Primary

I'd vote for a Libertarian long, long before I would vote for a Green.

In fact, I can safely say I would NEVER vote for a Green.

Taking a quick look at some on the Democrats short list:
1) Bernie Sanders, no doubt, the DNC owes him big time...but seriously.
2) Elizabeth Warren, yeah, not a chance there.
3) Joe Biden, crazy Uncle Joe, just what the Dems need.

Corey Booker is somewhere on that list...Christ, what loon created this list?

Agree TinkerWinker - But that is not my list nor anyone with a brain.

Which may include YOU ;)

Hey man, just havin' a little fun with some possibilities.
Your take on 2020?
Bet like 2/3 of the country you'd love to dump the Donnie Dumpster .. Amiright?

Joe Biden and Sally Yates. Now I'm not so sure that Joe is the right guy (too old), although I DEFINITELY want him (and Obama) out campaigning for the chosen candidate.

But the "ticket" idea is an interesting one and I like the idea of a female VP - That pretty much guarantees a female POTUS within next ten years and we're LONG overdue on that.

My favorite picks prior to Mike's ticket concept were Amy Klobuchar, Tulsi Gabbard or Kamala Harris. But Yates? Hadn't thought about that - She'd be a GREAT choice.

For the ultimate ticket running AS a ticket from the get-go that would absolutely shellack the Toxic Orange Poopstain?

How about Julián Castro/ Sally Yates? :eusa_dance:
