Minn passes gay marriage

Funny how democrats manage to fight back tears and invoke God when it's politically advantageous but God help the kid who is caught with a Bible in his locker in school. God loves homosexuals but if he wanted them around they would be able to make babies with each other instead of shoving fists up each other's arses.

You only exhibit your ignorance.

Public school students are allowed to have a bible in their lockers and they’re allowed to pray. They may not, however, have school-issued bibles and pray at the behest of the state, in violation of the he First Amendment.

While this is true, there have been numerous cases of students being suspended for bringing a Bible to school. We see radical positions on both sides all the time.

But the law's side is the only right one and that has been consistent. You can pray, carry your bible around and bless your pencil before each class.

I oppose gay marriage, because it clashes with what I believe in.

Well, then the logical solution would be to belong to a church that does not perform them. You are perfectly within your 1st Amendment right not to believe "gay marriage" within the religious realm, but when we are talking about legal, civil marriage, your beliefs or religion have nothing to do with the discussion.

Wouldn't divorce clash more with your religious beliefs? Jesus actually mentions that...unlike gays. He never once said a peep about them. Why aren't you attempting to outlaw divorce since that actually does clash with your professed religious beliefs?

30 states have laws banning it already, with 8 in the middle and 12 favoring it.

Looks like they got the jump on you.

Gotta stop the evil gays from getting married, lol! The sky will fall and the world will end if homosexuals can wed!!!

Who said anything about them being evil? I have two friends who are openly gay, and they have more respect for my Christian worldview than most liberals here do.

I oppose gay marriage, because it clashes with what I believe in. Drop the sarcasm.

I support gay marriage because it offends people like this.

Acceptance of the normalcy of homosexuality is almost the last disintegration before the entire culture fails. It isn't homosexuality, or homosexuals. By the time homosexuality is accepted as normal behavior the culture is already very sick and has already experienced a great deal of degradation and depravity. Accepting homosexuality as normal behavior is almost mild. It's now just the next step. We've already accepted destruction of so many institutions. If marriage itself had not been undermined first, we'd never be having this discussion.

It must be really depressing to live inside your head.

Total, complete nonsense. Religious people have the right to effect legislation. There is no doubt of this. Why do liberals continually tout this mistruth?

It's depressing to live in a society that's disintegrating just the way Rome did. Ultimately something will come along to replace what we destroyed. That's about the only light in this very dark tunnel. The normalization of perversion and depravity never lasts for long.

Katz has a good point in another thread. Now that liberals are trying to decriminalize transmitting HIV, perhaps all this support of gay stuff is a way to reduce the population to save the planet?

You do not get to base the laws of OUR country on YOUR religion. You don't get to base who gets equal protection based on what YOUR bible says.

Sure, some might try...

Almighty God created the races white, black, yellow, malay and red, and he placed them on separate continents. And but for the interference with his arrangement there would be no cause for such marriages. The fact that he separated the races shows that he did not intend for the races to mix. (Trail Judge Loving v Virginia)

But they FAIL.

LOL...and the "fall of Rome" analogies are my favorite. Wasn't "they gheys" fault ya'll...

You will have no trouble linking evidence of that assertion, of course.

Sorry, but if all the closeted gays all came out tomorrow, you aren't going to make a dent in the world population.

Don't decriminalize the transmission of HIV, criminalize the transmission of all STDs. That'd be one way to get people to wear condoms.

You know what's going to do in gay men? If they ever "cure" HIV or get a vaccine for it, and gay men go back to not using condoms even worse than they currently do (record HIV infenctions going on right now in the MSM community), if something worse comes along that kills much quicker, it will turn up first in the gay community again. Actually I should say WHEN and not IF. Becuase it absolutely will happen.

"How many more gay people does God have to create before we ask ourselves whether or not God actually wants them around?"

THIS is what God thinks of homos...

The Bible doesn't speak of homosexuality very often, but when it does, it condemns it as sin.

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."1
Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"
1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."

Homosexuality is clearly condemned in the Bible. It undermines the basis of God's created order where God made Adam, a man, and Eve, a woman -- not two men, not two women -- to carry out his command to fill and subdue the earth (Gen. 1:28). Homosexuality cannot carry out that command. It also undermines the basic family unit of husband and wife, the God-ordained means of procreation. It is also dangerous to society. (See, Is homosexuality danngerous?)

That's nice. But our Government isn't based on your translation of your bible.

I could only find one story...and there was more to it than simply bringing a bible to school and reading from it.

Yes, as a matter of fact, people can and do make laws based on their religion. Religous tests are against the law for both voting and holding office. You can't tell people what to base laws on, you dolt. You can't stop religious people from running for office and voting their conscience.

Just get off it. You're misinformed and way off base.

You do realize that the abolitionist movement was religion-based, don't you? You do know that John Brown believed he was an instrument of God for freeing the slaves, right?

Your ignorance is abysmal.
