Either the Russians derailing Democrats, by exposing Clinton's corruption
which is her own fault, could be rebels AGAINST the arming of Putin,
or it could be the Russians didn't want Clinton exposing Trump's dealings
as you believe this article was saying was a legitimate investigation of real threats.
On the other side, the "reports of compromising prostitution stories"
that could be used to blackmail Trump were debunked as baseless.
This article states them as true and used as leverage.

but the rightwing media is reporting that nothing has been substantiated either!

do give a clear APPEARANCE of a conflict of interest:

When in doubt, such leaders should know to turn down offers

There was nothing done by Putin that even compares to the MAGNITUDE of the propaganda effect that the DNC funded dossier and sycophant media provided to the public. The dossier was frauduently marketed to the public as an official "intel doc" just 2 weeks before the election. The parade of now disappeared women coming forward to make their accusations. Any money the right wingers claimed was received by the Clintons was actually donations to their foundation. The books of that foundation are wide open, and have been studied extensively. They didn't pocket foundation money like Trump did with his foundation. If you or anybody could prove that they did, you might have something.
