Official Mueller Report Thread

Not entitled to obstruct justice either. Get it?
Good thing he didn't.

But if he did, it would be illegal, so your argument that he had unqualified right to fire Comey is false.
They all work at the discretion of the President.

Did you fucking read what was explained?

Trump can fire all he wants BUT IF HE DOES SO FOR A CORRUPT REASON IT'S A CRIME.
Who is going to prove why he did something? Best to keep that to himself.

Congress, if they take it up.

They are the prosecutor, defense, judge and jury in an impeachment proceeding.

Of course they will not do something completely out of line with public opinion but you take the ten obstruction(?) episodes in the Mueller report and you'll easily have a majority of people that would agree that is in fact obstrucition.

That’s not the question.

The question was - does Trump have a right to fire Comey to impede an ongoing investigation? The answer is no. Just as he doesn’t have a right to fire him for a bribe.
The Constitution doesn't recognize mind reading, tea leaves, or chicken bones.

The Constitution is clear in the Executive's power just for this type of instance.

POTUS doesn't have ask the opposing party for permission to exercise his Constitutional authority.

Lol ok good luck with that bs

Meanwhile, Trump said that he fired Comey because of the Russia investigation in a public interview.

Your question is moot.

1. He didn't fire Mueller (but he could have). Comey want even conducting the investigation.

2. Justice was not, and could not have been obstructed by firing Comey.

3. Any and every FBI Director, at all times, can be fired by the AG or POTUS, both of whom wanted him fired. An FBI Director is never a 4th Branch of Government, or a King.

4. It seems you think you are clever with your bribe analogy, but you came up short. The bribe would be illegal for any reason. The firing is legal. Period.

Good thing it wasn't a corrupt reason.

It was bipartisanship.

Just days before, Democrats were calling for Comey's firing and/or expressing a lack of confidence.

Trump was doing what you Ungrateful Democrats wanted.

A crystal ball doesn't work when operated by a hater. All you see is your own hatred and spite.

1. He ordered mcGahn to begint the removal process. McGahn said no, you'll have to fire me and started packing his shit. So insubordination to Trump's corrupt direction was the only reason Mueller wasn't removed. For Obstruction of Justice however the order to remove Mueller has as much weight as actually removing Mueller. Because provable attept to commit obstruction is as bad as commiting it. Just like robbing a bank is as bad as plotting and preparing to rub a bank.

2-4. Obstruction of Justice is not legal for any reason, just as a bribe is not legal for any reason. President has many powers, but those powers do not permit him to act corruptly.

This is not my opinion, this is what the Mueller report states.

Does Constitution give a right to a president to take a bribe to fire FBI Director?
Silly question.

No.

POTUS is not entitled to accept bribes for any reason. But he can fire the FBI Director for any reason..

Not entitled to obstruct justice either. Get it?

Trump had an absolute right to fire Comey...not to impede an ongoing investigation, but for being a showboating incompetent.

antontoo, you ignorant slut, the Mueller report didn't say there was a "corrupt intent" either. Justice was NOT obstructed, the investigation continued and results were found.

Report didn't say there wasn't provable corrupt intent either.

Mueller's report simply laid out the facts on obstruction and deffered the judgement to Congress.

Meanwhile, Trump said that he fired Comey because of the Russia investigation in a public interview.

It was A reason, not THE reason. Why do you have so much trouble with that?

Six reasons why Trump fired Comey

1. He ordered mcGahn to begin removal process. McGahn said no, you'll have to fire me, and started packing his shit. So insubordination to Trump's corrupt direction was the only reason Mueller wasn't removed. For Obstruction of Justice however the order to remove Mueller has as much weight as actually removing Mueller. Because provable attept to commit obstruction is as bad as commiting it. Just like robbing a bank is as bad as plotting to rub a bank.

2-4. Obstruction of Justice is not legal for any reason, just as a bribe is illegal for any reason. President has many powers, but those powers do not permit him to act corruptly.
1. Mueller was not a King or a God. Mueller was not a 4th Branch of Government. Mueller did not work under the legislative or judicial branch Mueller did not work for the UN.

Mueller worked for the Executive Branch, and was therefore able to be fired by the Executive.

2. Mueller was not entitled to keep his job if he were found to be corrupt or incompetent. POTUS was one of the people Constitutionally enpowered to make that judgement.

3. Replacing Mueller would not and could not obstruct justice.

Look.... I get it....

You've been salivating for 2 years, sticking pins in Trump dolls, just waiting and waiting and waiting for Mueller to finally satisfy your need to have an excuse for backing a hateful, greedy, unlikeable loser like Hillary....

And now, this is all you have left to focus your rage on.

Sucks to be you.

If Trump had really wanted Mueller fired, do you think McGhan's threat to resign would have stopped him? Heck, he's replacing people all the time.

Trump really wanted Mueller fired, if he didn't he would not issue an order to have him fired. DUH?

Trump's mind was perhaps changed by the willingless of mcGhan to walk, or maybe he simply realized that no one will go along with his corrupt request. It doesn't matter.

Guess you've never heard of "innocent until proven guilty". That you ASSUME "corrupt intent" betrays your mindset, just as the "Lock her up" crowd betray theirs. You are the same as they are.

It does matter. You have to prove intent. Was he blowing off steam and saying it though he didn't mean it? If he meant it, he could have accepted McGhan's resignation and fired Mueller later.

I think Trump could have fired Comey for ANY reason...he served at the pleasure of the President.
Comey said under oath POTUS could fire him for any reason, or no reason at all.

Trump should re-hire him and fire him again for committing perjury

It's a LAUGHABLE position.

But also SAD because what you just said is that you are such a crazy fucking lemming that you are willing to say that it's ok for our President to take bribes.

Trump could take a $100,000 bribe to fire the FBI director, publicly declare that income and you will still tell us that nothing wrong was done.

Totally nuts.
