If the Government set up a plan for people to deduct wages from their paycheck and pay into it that would be great. The Government does not hold it nor ever touches it.

When you die it all goes to family 100% tax free. The same Idea could be used for UE, but when you use it all up it's gone.

But I doubt that is the plan and in fact the idea of doing something like this on top of SS admits SS is a fraud and failing.

On The Kelly File Tuesday, Former Presidential Speechwriter Marc Thiessen accused President Obama of plagiarizing the 2007 State of the Union speech he wrote for Bush, stating, “Barack Obama has gone from blaming George W. Bush to plagiarizing George W. Bush.”

Thiessen: Yeah, it was eerily familiar. There were lines like, “Our job is to help Americans build a future of hope and opportunity. A future of hope and opportunity begins with a growing economy. A future of hope and opportunity requires that all our citizens have affordable and available healthcare. Extending opportunity and hope depends on a stable supply of energy.” All of that came from the 2007 State of the Union Address by George W. Bush. So, Barack Obama has gone from blaming George W. In a remarkably positive and nationalistic speech, Obama, without any hostilities toward congress (Which I didn't expect) delivered, what was, a very definite road map into getting America back on track. He also, in a very poignant way, expressed why it was necessary to wind down the war in Afghanistan and not commit to large deployments. Cory Remsburg, who was grievously wounded on his 10th (Count it..10th) time in Afghanistan, put squarely on display, the real human cost of this war.

The President also hit on some pretty good points about social mobility, even pointing out that John Boehner, the son of a bar keep, is speaker of the House. And he joked about not ever seeing eye to eye with Republicans on the ACA, while urging them to stop wasting time with votes to repeal.

He was specific. Positive. Energized and again offered an olive branch to his opposition.

Representative Cathy Rodgers, who did MUCH BETTER than all other Republican responders from previous Republican responses, was basically a "Hallmark Moment". She offered no specifics and basically said the same thing the President said, but in a nice way. Add in she was easy on the eyes.

He has been saying the same thing for 5 years. So why is this time any different?

This agency, created by the 2010 Dodd-Frank-Act, is very concerned about how safe your retirement savings are. They are apparently concerned that retiring baby boomers may become victims of financial scams.
