Once again I am ashamed of the Republicans

One would think that the Speaker of the House or the Senate majority leader could have showed up in France, but no they did nothing. As for the administration, who expected anything else? I guess Jake Tapper did, now he knows, or should but I am thinking as with all liberals all Obama has to say is something along the line, "GOP House majority Whip Spoke at White Supremacist Confernece" and Tapper will forget all about this incident.

Jake Tapper: I'm ashamed by U.S. leaders' absence in Paris

I say this as an American -- not as a journalist, not as a representative of CNN -- but as an American: I was ashamed.

I certainly understand the security concerns when it comes to sending President Barack Obama, though I can't imagine they're necessarily any greater than sending the lineup of other world leaders, especially in aggregate.

Oh please, you know you'd be bitching about us being in a socialist country and go back to eating "freedom fries, and freedom toast." :D

Actually no. Even is I considered the French not our best ally, which is not the case, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Remind me... who did the French send after the Boston Marathon bombing?
It was an international anti terror rally....it was not a condolence call.

Can you imagine the OUTRAGE that would be coming from those asshole Republicans in Congress and on FOX had Obama packed up the entire administration and they all went to Paris.

Oh the costs for transportation. The costs for lodging. Food. Oh the fucking Republican outrage would have gone on for weeks.

Had Obama went to Paris.

As it stands now, the outrage over NOT going will last for weeks and weeks.
Maybe a Congressional investigation led by that famous car thief investigator that never finds wrongdoing anywhere that he can prove.

Fucking Republicans are an embarrassment to the entire nation.
ah...I see.

He did not go or send someone because he was afraid for the political backlash....

You are one strange fellow Zeke.

You're being ridiculous, as usual.

Says the far left drone...

Look...you folks can defend this all you want with "cost concerns, security concerns, time restrictions, etc....

But the bottom line is this.....

The administration had a senior ranking person right there in Paris and the administration made the decision to NOT have him attend the rally.

As opposed to questioning WHY the right is questioning it....you should be questioning WHY the administration told Holder not to attend.

Lets be honest with each other....it would not have been a big deal for holder to attend...and they are smart enough to know there would be political backlash....not to mention a snub to the international community...

Yet they told holder not to go.

Why?

So did France send a delegation to the US after 9/11?
it was an international anti terrorism rally.

Stop defending the defenseless.

The administration screwed up.

Not defending the far left Obama, just wondering if France sent a delegation after 9/11.

You figure after Obama stared two illegal wars with France in the lead, he would at least show up.

However that would mean he would have to acknowledge that Islamic terrorists DO exist..

No, he is actually correct. It is ridiculous of me to expect the Republicans to do the job of the President. But I will say, Obama has been taking over their job so you think they would want to help him with his.

Already provide the link that showed France was the first country to send their President after 9/11.

Maybe with the lack of time to prepare they were worried about how another Benghazi incident would appear.

There are indications of sleeper cells being awakened for direct action in France. Now is not the time to send our entire leadership into that box. That would be incredibly stupid, and it would place the lives of innocents in the line of fire.

So the only two options were none or all? Really?

I fear it more likely their not willing to be put in a position to refer to it as Radical Islamic Terrorism....and hanging with 40 leaders that refer to it as exactly that (including Muslim leaders), may put them in that position.

In immature approach to a very serious international situation if you ask me.

Now that I think about it they should have asked Bush jr or Clinton to go.

That is why I still raise the question, because it is not found on many sources..

Which target do you suggest we send?

Wait. Let me guess...
