Impeachment is not a criminal conviction, so no, it does not require what you demand. When Trump is ever criminally prosecuted, then what you say will be the case. He will get a fair criminal trial. However, that can't happen until he leaves office.

So you don't believe it's possible or even likely that the House will impeach, the Senate will acquit, and the voters will punish the Dems in Nov 2020 for acting like bitter, petulant little crybabies for more than 3yrs?

Democrats have no ideas, no plans and no platform. They're followers of socialists and fascists (antifa). The only way they can gain power is to create numerous crises that will besmirch Trump and get their media butt boys to paint him as unfit for office. Of course this is a big gamble because it assumes tens of millions of people are ignorant enough to fall for their ploy. As for me, I want a R. majority in the house so we can take advantage of all the innovations Trump comes up with. I want my country to continue in the same direction.

I wouldn't say the Dems have no platform or plans. In fact, the 2020 Dem hopefuls have been open and honest about the Democrat Socialist Party's platform and plans for our future. What would you call gun-confiscation, abortion, open borders, socialism, and impeachment-in-lieu-of-election-victories? Chopped liver?

Laws matter to me and you, but look around-texting and driving? Illegal aliens-now there is a 250K fine in NY if you say that to someone. Political corruption-been going on forever. I can only go by reality, something anathema to righties. And reality shows me there is no rule against the House Speaker authorizing an impeachment inquiry; and reality shows me you can't find anything to counter that.
