That was the plan. He even delayed it three years to get the agreements he needed. The removal of all troops would have been delayed if needed. Trump was not a war monger. He was pushed as that and many other things. He also was an outsider who was not happy with some of the people pushed on him. Some were neo con war mongers. Trump told them directly, he would bomb the crap out of them if they did anything. Biden was the one who took the military out without the civilians.

They are all gone, surrendered to or occupied by the Taliban. Joe Biden pretty much handed them our bases on a silver platter.

So you think Trump could have kept all those bases opened and safe with just the 2500 military he had left there in Dec 2020? And you think the 2500 military left among all those bases could have rescued or evacuated the American citizens and Afghani allies left under Trump?

Biden messed up, by not bringing in more troops to evacuate everyone, and remove or destroy our equipment.
