Pennsylvania announces election results won't be available on election night

Pennsylvania is stating the obvious

The Presidential race will be close and will come down to counting absentee ballots. This process takes time and they want to get it right.

But if Republicans are so concerned about it taking so long to count ballots……Why don’t Pennsylvania Republicans want absentee ballots counted BEFORE the polls close?

They did. As usual you lie. The Pennsylvania House voted for early cast ballots to be counted as they come in like most States do. The Dim controlled Senate voted it down.

What in the hell changed so much from 2016 to 2024? In fact, what in the hell changed from EVERY election night before 2016, when votes were counted quickly and efficiently? Did Americans just forget the order of numbers in a couple of decades?
Nothing changed other than a handful of states have gotten much more competitive. Media and wire services can no longer project the winners of states as they did in the past. Ohio was not called until after midnight in 2004. Now, it is no longer competitive and can be called much earlier in the evening on election night. Other states have gotten more competitive and media/wire services cannot make the projections as comfortably as they used to.
