"punks....they always get away"

Outcome of the Zimmerman trial:

  • Total voters
    74
  • Poll closed .
looks like another slam dunk for the prosecution:

Jurors see photos of Trayvon Martin?s body | HLNtv.com
Prosecutor John Guy had a crime scene technician show jurors the gun Zimmerman used to shoot Martin. The technician, Diana Smith, also showed them the soft drink and Skittles Martin bought that night, along with photos of Zimmerman’s head, hands and clothing taken after he arrived at the police station.

How is this a slam dunk for the prosecution?

The jury isnt there to determine who killed Martin. Even Zimmerman is admitting that yes Trayvon is dead and yes he killed him.

The issue is whether it was self defense or not. These pictures don't prove that it wasnt self defense. Pictures of the gun don't prove whether it was self defense or not. Pictures of a soft drink and skittles don't prove whether it was self defense or not.

I mean do you think the jury is sitting there thinking "Oh wow he had a soft drink and skittles. There is no way that he could have attacked the defendant first"

That's just stupid.

That other thread was way too long anyway...this thread is now open for Zimmerman Trial discussion.

Just make sure Sarah G doesn't come in with her two cents... she's why the other thread was closed.

Sarah is extremely anti-gun...IMO that anti-gun bias has clouded the judgement of many as it relates to this case.

But Sarah is good people. We hardly agree on anything but I still like her.

I just wish she would think more about what she is saying before she says it.

He should be Acquitted but there is so much media bias, jury of women instead of his peers, he gave 5 hour taped interview. So I believe it will be a hung jury.

Which means we end up with another trial.

TemplarKormac more than anybody else was responsible for the original caution and the final closing of the thread.

Yes indeed. But she is purposefully distorting the trial and passing off what she sees as fact! She has done nothing to contribute, or verify her statements. That level of preclusive bias is overwhelming.

Damn, look who is talking.

stalking an innocent person then not taking responsibility for what ensues is rich lol

Im pretty sure Trayvon took full responsibility for sneaking up and jumping Zimmerman from behind.

Harking back to the title of this thread, it should be noted that a LOT of people in the world don't like adolescents. It is a common dislike in industrialized nations, because there truly is no place for the adolescent in our society. When we were an agricultural society, the more children you had the more successful your farm was. For the last many years, adolescents have been a liability to the family due to the expense of raising them with no immediate return on that investment. The foregoing statement is of the obvious. Still, there are parents who, knowing that people don't like adolescents, will allow them to roam about freely. Conversely, there are other parents who take the time and put forth the effort to keep their adolescent children involved in academics, sports, youth groups, church, etc. etc. We do have many accomplished people who became accomplished as adolescents. Thanks to their parents' involvement and the limits they set in the lives of their adolescent children. Li'l Trayvon was not one of them.

the facts are on the Prosecution's side.
Witness recalls efforts to save wounded Trayvon Martin - U.S. News
Sanford Police Department civilian employee Wendy Dorival testified that she helped Zimmerman set up a neighborhood watch after a rash of crimes in his development. Under questioning by prosecutors, Dorival said watch volunteers were intended to be the “eyes and ears” of law enforcement and were instructed not to follow or confront anyone suspicious.

Which is completely irrelevant when you are jumped from behind while walking back to your car.

Has that been proven?

The resident eXtreme RW'ers seem to be starting at their desired end and reconstructing the scenario that fits it :eusa_whistle: As the title of this thread proves, GZ was going to "get his". Ever hear of the saying "be careful what you wish for 'Cause you just might get it." Apparently RW'ers haven't.

Interesting testimony today..."It is NOT within the purview of 911 dispatchers to give orders to callers."

There goes that talking point right out the window...

who knew that the state would have provided

so many witnesses for the defense

--LOL

"Fucking punks....these assholes always get away" said George Zimmerman about Trayvon Martin. Opening remarks by the prosecution! Outstanding! I love this guy!

And guess what, the defense attorneys did not object. Double ooops!

Talking about "case closed".......

Um, no. If the prosecution is going with "he went in there intending to shoot someone" theory, which use of this statement implies, then thier case is actually WEAKER than we think.

Why do you say that???

A general observation here.

The wingnuts have a lot invested in Zimmerman.

Then I realize that Zimmerman was living their dream. They all want a gun so some day, they can bravely shoot a bad guy. They don't want a tazer or a tear gas or a big dog, which would be just as effective at stopping a bad guy. They want a gun to be able to plug a bad guy. And they want a CC Permit.

So Zimmerman was living the dream. He actually plugged on of those .... er.... punks. Yeah. that's it. Punks.

As opposed to your fantasy of every 250 lb. thug being able to rape a 110 lb. woman with impunity.
