Zone1 Question for Evangelicals

Yes. Reality is sometimes hard to take for a MAGA.
/----/ So nearly half of Americans are MAGA? Sweet.
Recent polls show that most people think the country is headed in the wrong direction, and most disapprove of Biden’s job performance. Now, a new survey revealed that nearly half the people in the country do not believe Biden received 81 million votes in the 2020 presidential election.

BIDEN TRIES TO SHAKE LOW MARKS ON ECONOMY WITH ‘BIDENOMICS’ PUSH

According to Rasmussen Reports, 49% of voters agree with the statement, "There is no way Joe Biden got 81 million votes in the 2020 election," including 33% who strongly agree. Conversely, 44% of the country disagrees with the statement, including 35% who "strongly disagree." The poll was conducted between June 25-27 and consisted of
“1,051 U.S. likely voters.”

God has even been known to use men with some flaws to do great things
I thought you were describing King David! Which Apostle does President Trump seem most like to you? Peter immediately jumps to my mind. Impetuous, foot-in-mouth, lied about knowing Christ....

Peter had some great qualities as well, and so does President Trump. His presidency did follow his campaign promises. We could all at least be aware of what a rare feat that is, for a candidate to keep campaign promises.

2016: A murmur was growing more into a louder, heated mutter in an otherwise quiet classroom. I walked over to see what the problem was, and four boys were discussing Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. One of the boys said, "I really like Trump, but sometimes he needs to keep his mouth shut." I smiled and said, "Just like some middle school boys."
They immediately got the point, but one asked, "Who are you going to vote for?"

I said, "I don't know yet. I guess I'll have to decide whether or not I want a middle school boy in the White House." One piped up, "Oh, we would be great!" and they all agreed on that. So I voted a middle school boy into the White House. Not that my Republican vote even counts in my state as the electoral college vote went to Mrs. Clinton.

I do not understand the extreme hatred and disdain for Donald Trump--the inability to see any good in him at all. If President Trump was acting like a middle school boy, so was the News Media and most of Twitter.

Do we have a middle ground here? How would you answer this question:

If President Trump made and believed these campaign promises, I could get behind him, because his administration does make things happen. What would bring you to the middle ground when it comes to a Trump presidency?

No one is perfect, and we all sin. God has even been known to use men with some flaws to do great things, but there are seven sins that God points out that he specifically hates, and are an abomination to him. These sins are specifically pointed out. In proverbs 6:12-15, Solomon talks about a wicked man who is

A worthless person, a wicked man, Walks with a perverse mouth; He winks with his eyes, He shuffles his feet, He points with his fingers; Perversity is in his heart, He devises evil continually, He sows discord. Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly; Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy.

Starting in verse 16, he lists the seven sins that that worthless person practices and that God specifically hates.

1. A proud look. Arrogance. A sense that he is better than others.
2. A lying tongue.
3. Hands that shed innocent blood. Refusing to act to save innocent lives when
you know the danger is eminent.
4. A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations.
5. Feet that be swift in running to mischief.
6. A false witness that speaketh lies.
7. He that seweth discord among the brethren.

Knowing that trump has repeatedly been shown to exemplify all the above listed abominations to God,
how can evangelicals, or any person who claims to love God support such a man for the leader of our country? Especially in the light of him recently calling Iowa evangelicals “so called Christians” and “pieces of shit”

Do you understand the difference between the First Covenant and the Second Covenant? ... because Evangelicals are judged under the Second, you seems to be holding them to the First ... you should asked these questions of the mirror, and answer truthfully ... "1] Arrogance" ... yup, you got that in shovels ...

We should feel lucky, Buddhism has eleven of these types of sins ... can't move without sinning ...

OK, I'm willing to live through yet another election where the majority of votes cast are votes against the person that is scorned, rather than for the person voted for. We have had more than one of those in recent years.

But it is irritating to me that so much of what raises the scorn for Trump is simply false. Provably false. Not even close to reality. Or totally irrelevant. Trump can be a jerk. So what? That often makes him more effective when dealing with international friends and foes.

As I have often pointed out, Leftists are either stupid or evil. I think the OP leans toward the former.

It's always hilarious when assorted deviants continually project their inferiority complexes on others, even making lists of their projections.

Trump's attraction is he hates in the same way his supporters do.

It's always the left wing ass clown with TDS who continually babble about 'hate n stuff', just more evidence they have no real genuine criticisms of Trump, or Christians for that matter.

How's that trade agreement with China coming along?

If they really follow the techings of Jesus, they will have to admit it, at least to themselves. Public acknowledgement might be a bit iffy.

lol you crypto-pagans constantly snivel about Da Evul Xians, then whine when you find some that don't follow your bizarre fictions about the theology. Make up your minds, already: Is Christianity bad or good? If the former, then why are you sniveling because you think no one is practicing it??? lol dumbasses need to quit the dope and porn. It's destroying your capacity for critical thought.

What are you babbling about now?

It's not even 10 a.m. and you're already smoking rocks and drinking.

Just noting that there are many things to condemn Trump for.

Cool how he overturned Obamacare eh?

If true, this should happen fairly soon.

"Therefore, his calamity shall come suddenly; Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy."

I guess they could all do as the conservative Mennonites do and simply refuse to vote so they can never be blamed for putting a scoundrel into office.

Now, I do have to wonder why you are urging believers to act as if we are a theocracy and they are the gatekeepers for the Oval Office. What would be your reaction if all the Evangelicals banded together and demanded that only the purest of them be elected president (there are enough of them that they could form a very, very large voting block)? You'd be the first and loudest screaming "theocracy" and wetting yourself over it. Just wondering if you've really thought this through or not.

Which specific teachings of Jesus would forbid someone to vote for TRUMP!? Remember, I said specific. I'm looking for something He said that indicates we should not vote for or support a given politician.

Let's see who else they could ever vote for.

Quid Pro Joe? Nope, credible accusations of molesting his own daughter.
Obama? Nope, favored Islam, lied about obamadon'tcare and about the "stimulus" bill that didn't as well as the "shovel ready" jobs that weren't.
Bubba Clinton? Oh, heck no. What a horndog.

IOW, when do you accept that people are fallible and you're NEVER going to find the best candidate until you run for office yourself? If I vote for you, I lower my standards.

All of that is interesting, but it has nothing to do with the subject of this thread.

So God no longer abhors those specific sins, as he did in Proverbs?
